To everyone who came by 8NAP House this weekend, joined us for an event, or stayed a little longer to talk about the art: thank you.
We’re grateful for the time you spent with us, with the work, and with each other. To the artists who trusted us with their work, thank you for giving us so much to gather around.
We leave Marfa more confident than ever in the future of art, and grateful to be helping build it with you.
Three works from Before It’s Gone, each with a different idea to spend time with.
Carpe Momentum by @JenPanepinto connects personal loss with finding joy in the present. The work has digital and framed lenticular forms and has sold.
Altering by @RebeccaRose has sold. The work revisits inherited expectations and the decision to reclaim something for yourself. Her physical Sculpturing can be worn as a ring or displayed on its own.
ANCIENT by @YUDHO_xyz draws on his conversations with AI to question what we choose to trust. It exists as a generative digital work and a physical painting with an LED panel.
Collecting inquiries for ANCIENT in the reply.
In Blue Screen of Death, @dangiuz imagines every computer crashing at once.
It’s an interruption that asks us to consider how much of life we give to screens, even during the time we think of as a break.
For Before It’s Gone, he carries that idea across a digital artwork and a physical light-boxed print. The invitation to step away from a screen is something you can return to through both forms.
More about the exhibition and collecting inquiries below.
Find us at 8NAP House twice this week.
Thursday, October 22: L8 Night, 8 p.m. until late. Spend an evening with Before It’s Gone and watch @egodead create a new painting live.
Friday, October 23: Biscuits & Burritos with @GuyNorcal, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Breakfast, a chance to catch up, and another opportunity to spend time with the exhibition.
Both events are at 8NAP House in Marfa. All times are Marfa local time.
RSVP for each in the replies.

don’t fall for the noise of what you should do and not do as an artist, experiment all you want
An artwork can remind you why you collected it long after the market has moved on.
In HODLing On, @Desultor considers the memories and hopes we keep with the things we own. He describes digital art as a time capsule of the feeling you had when you acquired it, with meaning that can outlast its liquidity.
The humour in the title comes with a more uncomfortable question about how much of ourselves we invest in a future we cannot be certain of. DESULTOR talks about riding out the bear cycles of life beyond crypto, and finding reasons to keep going.
For the physical shadowbox and lightbox, he chose artifacts that resonate with his own experience of crypto. They carry personal associations into the object, alongside the hope for a more prosperous future that he describes in the work.
Together, these ideas connect HODLing On to Before It’s Gone’s question of what we hold onto as time passes. A collection can preserve a past feeling while carrying our hopes for what comes next. The work leaves room to recognise both the comfort and the uncertainty in that attachment.
HODLing On is part of Before It’s Gone, the next installment of the 8NAP Masters Series.
Give yourself more than one viewing angle at Before It’s Gone.
Clear Boundaries by @HaydClay responds to the light and the space around it. Move around the glass and notice how its surroundings affect your experience of the work.
Somewhere Else by @cryptopeng1 uses metallic paper, acrylic and a floating mount to catch your attention as you pass. Walk past it, then return for a closer look.
These are two works to spend time with from different positions. Come see what you notice at 8NAP House.

Hayden Clay makes familiar places and objects behave in ways they shouldn’t.
He began as a photographer, trying to make images that felt like dreams. Then he imagined a scene he couldn’t photograph, and had to find another way to make it.
