At the time of its $9M announcement, Vangrid listed 100K+ verified captures, a live bounty system and real settlements on Base.
The announcement frames the gap in spatial data in two short lines: satellites can’t see sidewalks, and corporate fleets can’t scale. Its answer is 3 billion civilian smartphones, turned into a decentralized perception grid by @vangrid_io
Data is captured at the edge, verified onchain and delivered as ground truth for world models and sovereign systems. The pitch starts from the text data wall that language models have hit, and from physical AI and autonomous systems needing real-world spatial ground truth.
a quantum result is only useful if you can trust where it came from, and @quipnetwork QVM checks every computation three different ways before it counts.
first, quantum outputs get cross checked against classical simulations. second, classical providers benchmark the results independently on their own hardware. third, each result gets a cryptographic attestation that binds it to the hardware that produced it.
if a result gets disputed, it's settled against the recorded benchmarks, not against whatever the operator says about their own machine. so the operator's word isn't what decides it.
The fingerprint Vangrid anchors on Base holds three things: a hash of the content, a coarse location and a timestamp.
That list is short on purpose. The location is coarse, and the anchored record is made of fingerprints batched into a root. @vangrid_io describes edge computed privacy as the first stage of its data pipeline, followed by cryptographic provenance, multi view ingestion and an enterprise spatial API.
For a buyer, the anchored root is the public record to check a capture against. For a contributor filming a place with a phone, the details recorded for verification are limited to those three fields
ibm has qiskit, microsoft has q#, google has cirq, and none of them share a program representation or a pricing model.
so a program written for one stack doesn't necessarily carry over to the next, and most of them ask you to think in gates and qubit layouts, which is closer to writing assembly than software. a professor at monash said putting a new student on a quantum project can eat the whole semester just learning the tooling, before they even get to the research question. @quipnetwork QVM is aimed at exactly that, one constraint-based language that covers annealers, gate-based machines, and classical hardware, and he said it could give students more time for actual research.
pricing is split up the same way too. ibm's pricing only applies to ibm hardware, and azure quantum typically wants a spend floor of around $1,000 before your first circuit runs.
Real engagement should mean more than a number on a dashboard. 👀
That’s where ActionFi changes the game.
Instead of rewarding empty interactions, it focuses on verified actions that prove users are actually engaging with a product.
Every completed action can contribute valuable behavioral data to help train @ActionModelAI and its community owned Large Action Model.
For projects, that means a chance to build genuine usage instead of chasing inflated metrics.
Less noise. More real activity. 🧠

What if AI could do the work instead of just telling you how to do it? 👀
That’s the idea behind @ActionModelAI
It’s building a community owned Large Action Model (LAM) designed to interact with your screen, control the mouse, and execute real world tasks.
Here’s how the ecosystem comes together:
→ Actionist puts AI to work on your desktop
→ The browser extension learns from real user activity
→ The workflow marketplace turns automations into earning opportunities
→ $lam powers actions across the network
The bigger picture? A future where people don’t just use AI they help train it, earn from it, and own a piece of what they help build.
AI shouldn’t belong to Big Tech alone. 🧠
For fun, I loaded $100 into @SweepGlobal to play Rugs, and I honestly fell in love with it. Turned it into $365
Fast, stressful, and addictive, the kind of game where you’re glued to the chart the whole time. If you want to try it, go in with proper money management and only play with what you can afford to lose.
Right now there’s also a $150,000 SWEEP x ActionFi campaign running inside @ActionModelAI , so you can earn points and enter the lottery while you play.
On Vangrid, a requester reviews the submissions on a bounty and accepts one.
The sequence runs in that order. A requester posts a bounty for a specific place and funds it, contributors record captures and submit them, and the requester picks the submission that fits. @vangrid_io counted 415 accepted bounties as of 7 September, with $239,990 USDC settled through the protocol.
Funding comes first, so the reward is already in place when a contributor goes out to film. The review step means the requester decides what counts as the capture they asked for.
The same flow is open to agents, which can post a bounty through one HTTP call and pay in USDC

1,930 head to head races between a quantum solver and a classical solver, and the quantum one matched or beat the classical one in every single race.
@quipnetwork ran this live at quantum.tech world with around 100 visitors creating portfolio optimization problems on the QVM. results within 0.5% of each other counted as ties. in every race where they differed by more than that, the quantum solver gave the better portfolio, by a median of 2.56%. both solvers usually answered in 0.1 to 0.3 seconds, so the gap was answer quality, not speed.
the QVM is live on the aglais testnet now, with d-wave supported from launch and ionq coming. gas is set by qubit space, execution time, and entanglement, and the max cost is quoted before anything runs.
Each row in the Vangrid explorer is a batch of captures, not a single one.
The explorer at explorer.vangrid.io is labelled Base · EAS · grid attestations. Its latest attestations table lists a tree ID, a Merkle root, the number of captures, a status, the build time and the attestation transaction. A separate chart shows capture activity by the hour for the last 7 days.
That matches how the docs describe the process. Each capture is fingerprinted with a hash of the content, a coarse location and a timestamp, the fingerprints are batched, and the root is anchored on Base. For a buyer of @vangrid_io io data, the attestation transaction is the public record to check a capture against.
if you opened a quip account early, it might not work for quipswap yet.
quipswap settles through v1 accounts on @quipnetwork , so an account created on v0 has to be upgraded before it can sign either leg of a swap. and even after that, the swap side only supports Base for now, with other EVM networks phasing in. accounts cover more chains than the swap protocol does, so you can have assets protected on a chain quipswap doesn’t reach yet
🤝 Paid partnership
The quickstart for contributors on Vangrid is three steps: connect a wallet, record a first capture, submit it to a bounty.
It runs in the browser or on Android, and the capture app lives at app.vangrid.io/capture Nothing beyond an ordinary phone is needed to record.
The other side of the bounty works in a similar order. A requester posts and funds a bounty, reviews the submissions that come in, and accepts one. Contributors who want to try it can see bounties for specific places and pick one to go and film.
The site describes @vangrid_io as a zero capex sensor swarm and lists 3B+ edge nodes, which fits a network where the sensor is the phone people already carry.
quantum smart contracts are on the way, and the quip virtual machine is how they get there.
the QVM isn't live yet, but @quipnetwork says it will let developers write and deploy quantum smart contracts, and request a quantum solver through an interface as ordinary as any swap aggregator. nodes will also be able to host QVM smart contracts once the virtual machine ships, on top of already serving as RPC and indexer endpoints.
it's listed under what's still to come, next to the quipswap browser extension that holds your post quantum keys and the verifiable randomness subnet that's in active development
quantum echoes is now the #3 ethereum collection of all time on opensea.
@quipnetwork thanked every collector who made it happen, and opensea for the support along the way. if you're holding an echo, you can deposit it into your quip account and earn up to 2x quip points on it. the multiplier doesn't kick in right away though, it activates 24h after you deposit, so the timing matters if you're planning around it.
