I think people still don’t understand why people are mad. Not you, i know you do. Also the non existing communication since shut down and just acting like nothing happened, made everything worse. On top of it, bag biased comments by people who put the Abstract team and Luca on a pedestal and called the action heroic, made people crazy. I can understand why they decided to shut down the chain, the phrase of ‘businesses fail’ is accurate. And yes everyone is responsible for their actions/decisions. But so does Luca/Abstract team, no? Especially considering their actions/decisions affect looot of people while an individual’s action only hurt the individual. With all the promises, all the hypey phrases used along the years, all the talks with users and builders 5-6 weeks prior shutting the chain regarding how much of a comeback Abstract will have, and non existent communication after shut down, on top of it some PP team members & big chunk of holders actually talking down on the community, when you combine all of this (and this is a very condensed summary btw) I think the reactions and the time this topic was a trend on CT is even little considering how many people got burned. Not even only in financial terms, also time, effort, network? Mid to end of August, people were told to spread the word that Phase 2 is coming, the chain is not shutting down and one hell of a comeback is coming, TGE is coming 💀 I find it hard to believe that they got to the conclusion of “oh people we are not making money lets shut the chain right now” on the last week or so. I keep hearing that Luca will make an explanation to all of it and why it happened all of a sudden, and I am waiting for it, but growing a bit impatient as a former Abstract builder who was also promised a lot. + I went to Abstract Discord before they closed it down, and talked to the a few community members, there are/were so many upset people who the PP holders or a few team members just tried to shut down. This is so wrong. Cause we all know if this happened by a different team, everyone would be going rogue. I don’t understand the fanaticism around PP. There is a right and there is a wrong. And if we don’t point out wrongs and allow people to express why they think that way, then lets just close down CT and hand it over to only people with specific project bags. Also I said this is discord but let me repeat: it is wrong to feel happy for PP floor price going down. -there are also people who invested time and money into PP, FP going down hurts holders more than the rich PP team who is getting monthly Pengu unlocks- (but this is just an outcome of the actions by the team so, nothing the Abstract community can do either) And to note: I do not agree or support people who made threats/insults/memes about the Abstract team - although, some members combined from Abstract and PP are famous for their racist comments and I think they deserve whatever comes their way. And I saw someone commenting on your response with “counter argument, everyone makes big promises, this is what the space wants, its normal” this is basically what is wrong with this space lmao. Cause actions don’t have consequences, everyone can just say whatever the fuck they want, and if they are a good sales person, hell yeah. This is why the space is not being trusted. Especially if the promises come from TRUSTED sources, there should be consequences and the people with bag bias should not be just closing their eyes cause it hurts their bags or they cannot endure seeing their fav builders getting called out. And in this case, the builder ordered the community to call him out and hold him accountable. So, I don’t see anything wrong.

I don't understand why people are jumping on Ely Considering that he, as the biggest Abstract KOL, lost (potentially) much more than all of us combined. And if it weren't our retarded CEO, he would have received a 7-8 figs airdrop. Considering that he stayed with Abstract until the very end and witnessed all those stupid, 30 IQ decisions that even the dumbest Web2 business owner wouldn’t have allowed. And considering that he constantly criticized Abstract even BEFORE it shut down. He definitely has every right to just move on.
The funniest part of people trying to use my post as fuel, is they act like they were hardcore abstract users is but show they were never actually tapped in. The whole post was a parody caption as a throwback to what Rubiks had posted that I had called him out on. 😭

Some say that Abstract is "being responsible" by not launching a token with no pmf. But for years users spent real money on XP with the promise of a token. And these promises helped moon PENGU. Of which the team sold hundreds of millions of dollars worth. Compensate these people.
Luca Netz made me lose faith in Web3. I was on Abstract from day one. I never stopped believing because Luca was behind it, and I trusted his promises. I spent around $40–50K and dedicated nearly two years of my life to it. We were promised a token. They kept our hopes alive until the very end, only to tell us we would receive nothing for the Xp we had earned. After all that time, money, and trust, I feel scammed by @LucaNetz I won’t stay silent

Giga Legends is a new project from @gigaverse Here are my thoughts on what we can expect, coming from me as an OG player. Giga Legends is going to be the main NFT project for Gigaverse Online, and you'll be able to forge all previous NFTs into Giga Legends NFTs. So this won't be just another collection on top of ROMs, GLHFers, and Giglings - instead, we'll most likely be burning everything to get Giga Legends. But I could be wrong. These are just my guesses for now. What do you guys think?
Legends, it's almost time.

Today we're excited to introduce a new standard for V4 hook tokens. Our proposal to combat malicious vampire pools has been merged into Uniswap's URC repository as URC-5: Token Venue Policy. One standard defining where tokens trade to officially own their markets.

Many Pudgy Penguins holders say that Abstract had a negative impact on the Pudgy brand. Then please explain this to me: Why did Pudgy Penguins reach its peak in terms of attention in August 2025, which coincided with Abstract's peak? It was even stronger than in December 2024, when the $PENGU airdrop took place. As soon as Abstract began to lose its popularity, Pudgy Penguins also began to lose theirs. If the brand has been incredibly successful and is so popular on Web2, why does it have so few searches right now? Source: Google Trends

I've been laying low spending quality time offline the past week as I headed off to travel right after the Awakening ended, so this is late, but I wanted to say it properly. Grateful to finish #1. 😁 I really enjoyed this competition. The new fishing and the dungeon mechanics were a lot of fun, and playing them felt like a glimpse of whats to come in Gigaverse Online. Congratulations to every runner-up who put your heart into this. It really showed. I'm also extremely proud of all crusaders who ended up high on the leaderboard. You guys are awesome! @NomadTreepwood, @0xSinet, @DegenJablko, @chosta_eth, @Rubftw, @cryptotabart Thank you to @GLHFers and @gigaverse for a competition worth showing up for, I had a blast. Excited for the next couple months as I know @0xDith is cooking something special for all of us.
The Hall of Noobs is now live! gigaverse.io/hall-of-noobs/a… The Hall of Noobs v1 memorializes & honors the inaugural Gigachamps, the Noobs that gathered the most Hard Cores during The Awakening Event.

“Yes they went off and did Abstract and I think they gave it their best go. Maybe you could argue they could have perhaps failed faster. I don't know. That's a hard thing to do” LMAO Do you agree with this statement?
Tyler defends Pudgy Penguins founder Luca Netz against criticism pointing out he gave Pudgy Penguins holders $80,000 each in one of the biggest NFT airdrops in history “Luca gave everyone $80,000 for holding a Pudgy Penguin NFT. It was the second biggest airdrop in NFT history behind Bored Apes and ApeCoin” “All you had to do was hold a Pudgy Penguin. You got $80,000 for it. So I don't know how any holder can be upset at Luca in any way” “Yes they went off and did Abstract and I think they gave it their best go. Maybe you could argue they could have perhaps failed faster. I don't know. That's a hard thing to do” “I’m sure they didn't want to fail. It's a tough game and also there was a lot of things that shifted” “A lot of people thought consumer was the way to go and then it actually turned out it was institutions. That's the only chains that have made it” “Now they're catching all the backlash, all the dunking, even though he kind of stood up and ran one of the most successful NFT projects of all time”

I'm so sick of seeing these endless, paid $PENGU posts from people who have no idea what happened to Abstract. I'm not going to repeat myself 10 or 100 times, but it was clearly a rug, and everyone associated with Abstract knows it - users, builders, and even Abstract employees. It's funny how huge KOLs whether they're paid off or just incredibly stupid, create exit liquidity right before the PENGU unlocks.
Seems like max FUD on the Pengu eco right now over Abstract and some recent tweets. At the end of the day this is crypto & it’s more +EV to move on and position for the next opportunity. Calling Luca a rug for cutting funding on an L2 that was losing eight figures after market conditions changed is wild to me. Not usually one for CT drama, but as a trader/investor you stay objective and position accordingly. Pudgy is still one of the cleanest IP brands in web3 actual toys in Walmart, millions of units sold, and real mainstream traction. Luca has done more for crypto than 99% of people in this space. Market’s focused on the negatives right now, but a bigger reversal in the coming months (or even weeks) wouldn’t surprise me. I’m seeing one of the biggest setups market structure wise for a genny cycle in crypto and solana:2zMMhcVQEXDtdE6vsFS7S7D5oUodfJHE8vd1gnBouauv has one of the cleanest charts to me. Seems like this is pico bottom here on both the Pudgy penguin NFT collection and coin. Let’s see how things plays out

Imagine getting an NFT for 0.1 or 1 ETH when everyone else is buying it at auction for 3-5 ETH. All you have to do is click the button once every 30 days. ONCE. It's written in the docs, the founder posts about it every few days on X, and other people mention it too. And yet you still manage to screw it up and blame the founder. Maybe you should go back to the trenches.

you check dexscreener 10 times a day to see if your latest token has rugged , you check twitter every 30 mins Yet asking ppl to check in once a month , especially when a checkin qualifies as literally any activity in the protocol, to continually get emissions is too much Nice

hey, i’m sorry this happened but you are absolutely in the wrong here if you paid $3,200 for an NFT, it’s your investment & it’s totally your job to read the docs & participate in the process calling @standard_rsv a rug because you didn’t do due diligence on this part is a shitty attitude, that’s your loss you say you’re on the website 24/7 but you never - deposited any $standard ($1 counts) - saw the big ass checkin button even once? - read multiple updates from beans on the burn? - slightly attempted to listen to the last ama? plus, how was the website down for 48 hours when i’ve logged in every single day? it literally takes <10 seconds. & just be truthful, this isn’t a case of “bad communication” or “a rug” (i’d rather u just admit that u were inactive without trying to sound aggressive) pushing the narrative that “abstract devs are ruggers” won’t get your 8000 $standard back. sure, it’s a banking ponzi but systems operate differently & this was a rule from day 1. to everyone else who had their charters burned, sorry it happened but game is game. address it like it is.
Woke up to see -$2,400 in my account. I paid 1.25 ETH ($3,200) for an @standard_rsv NFT through the auction. Just yesterday, I had over 8,000 $STANDARD. Then, without any warning, they burned my NFT and gave me back only a small portion of what I had. Their reason? "They burned inactive charters." I'm literally on the website 24/7 because I never close the tab, and I check it daily. No on-chain activity? That's because expanding branches is ridiculously expensive. The last time I checked, it would have cost around $2,000 just to expand. And yes, I know about Dormant Bankers. I was actually planning to do something about it, but your website was down for 48 hours and has been flagged as "unsafe" since the update. I bought my NFT through the auction, NOT the whitelist mint. I paid FULL PRICE for it, and you just burned it without any warning? This can't be serious. @0xbeans Y'all seriously need to improve how you communicate with your community. People have invested real money into this project, and decisions like this shouldn't come out of nowhere.
