if you live in nigeria, you already know how much of life quietly runs on the dollar. prices, savings, even what people call "safe".
onchain is the same. dollar-backed tokens are over 98% of the stablecoin market, so demand in tokenized markets tends to stay tied to dollars.
@injective just signed an mou with @BDACSKorea a korean custodian, to change that for tokenized assets. krw1, a won-backed stablecoin, would be the exclusive won settlement asset for tokenized real-world assets on injective.
so a korean buyer could trade and settle in won, with no dollar detour.
still waiting for regulatory approval, there's no launch date yet.
but a local currency showing up on a global chain is the part to watch.

you know that feeling when an item has no prices, and you only find out the cost when the bill arrives?
gas fees on @injective trading worked a bit like that. before every order, the app had to run a test just to estimate the gas, and sometimes the estimate was wrong and the transaction failed.
now it's live: orders, cancels, deposits and withdrawals have published gas amounts, so apps don't have to guess.
injective says rwas and perp trades will run on it too.
what that means is less waiting, fewer failed transactions, and costs you can plan for, which matters to traders and institutions alike.
