Have seen some decent Wedge Tailed Eagle nests around the farm before but this one appears to be the biggest house on the street! Guessing 2.5-3m deep atop an old 20m plus tall salmon gum.
Anyone run Right Weigh spring suspension scales on their tippers? Are they as accurate as airbag scales in a paddock environment where a flat, hard surface isn’t always possible?
Got Starlink up and running yesterday and so far it’s that far ahead of our current NBN it’s lonely. Respective speeds at around 8am for comparison…
Spent a week in the Douglas Daly NT with the Howies. Mates since school. The change in the ag landscape in the past few years is big. From primarily cows, cavalcade & Jarrah grass to butterfly & cowpeas, irrigated & dryland cotton, a seed business & a few sheep & goats & more.
Farewelled one of our old W7 International tractors that the old man cut his teeth on today. Donated it to the horsepower highway crew in Gnowangerup. Be good to see it on the road someday all spruced up! @jeza1487 @YogiKendall
Need some new shearing dungers but it seems no one makes them with front pockets anymore. Is this correct?! I’m no gun shearer but reckon they’re the best work pants, but maybe not so without pockets… The ag industry has enough challenges on its plate already and now this! 😏
Have a mate who’s a commercial pilot. Sent me these pics tonight. The lights are mostly all tractors working with the distant glow being Perth. Approx Wongan Hills area. Reckons you can always tell when it’s seeding and harvest!
New tractor and bar ordered nearly a year ago is due tomorrow… well half of it anyway. One sowing opportunity largely missed earlier in the month & also possibly the next. Sometimes the big risks in Ag are things out of your control. Time will tell if the FOMO was justified!
Any Landcruiser gurus know if a gearbox out of a 2010 79 series V8 would be compatible with a ‘95 HZJ 75 series? Old girl has thrown the towel in and wondering about upgrading my 79 to the current taller ratio’d box and putting the existing 79 box into the 75? Cheers

From the Narrogin Fire last week. Truely heartbreaking seeing the devastation, but also beautiful how the community came together and helped those effected. – at Narrogin, Western Australia
A big few days for many. A big few years ahead to fix the mess. Finished burying close to 600 full wool ewes today. The damage to 200yo or more trees is simply astonishing. Around 6000ac burnt. As usual though, the offers of help have been simply amazing!
Deaths, taxes & cracked CNH rims. This will be the 5th one over the journey that finds its way into the scrap pile. On a machine full of moving parts, you’d think a solid piece of steel would be the last thing to break. @NewHollandAG @CaseIHAus seriously, make them stronger!

#oats buried underground at $150 odd being dug up a couple years later at $300 odd as good as the day they went in.
Forecast 10 and get more than double. Seem’s thats the pattern for July ’21 here. 180 odd ml and knowing how crops will cope is an unknown for me. Bit out of my depth. Pun intended.
Overwatch & trifluralin done a handy job in some Maximus. A blocked seed tube showing how the struggle to control ryegrass in the row is the battle. Narrower row spacing = more rows & growth opportunities but increased competition… damned if you do, damned if you don’t 🤷🏼♂️
