Forgot my hands-free pumping bra for pumping at the office. Managed 30 minutes of very productive work with one hand holding bottles and flanges to my boobs. Pumped 9 oz. THERE’S NOTHING I CAN’T DO. Also, family leave and postpartum care suck in this country.

I come on here regularly intending to share some silly or cute thing my kids did because they’re my whole life now, but every time I do, I read news of other kids who’ve been murdered or are having their lives threatened.

WTactualF. Kids getting murdered for being at school? shot for playing hide and seek? Can’t get the healthcare they need? How do we begin to fix this? It is depressing, demoralizing, frustrating. At such a loss. How do I keep my kids safe?

Two weeks postpartum and I have ankles again. Yesterday, I could tie my own shoes. More importantly, my baby is eating (food my body produces) and healthy. In awe of my body.

Nate gently broke the news of Grant’s passing to me last night. Since then I’ve been, like many of you, reflecting on the time and words Grant generously shared with me and our community. Heartbreaking.

Grant got me my first soccer contract. The man gave me a job and confidence that I could find my way as a professional in the game. He cared to ask about my goals, well-being, and family in truly the most sincere and genuine of ways. He was always progressional. Always kind.
