youtube.com/shorts/-gQetey6F… In this YouTube Short, via @Meadowbrook135, we introduce the ABC circular activity problem in digital assets. Alice and Bob transact back and forth on Clyde's network. Reported activity increases, but that activity can create the perception of adoption, potentially encouraging further transactions. But did substantive economic movement actually occur? That's the question that @135Research and CVE ask. 🥁

youtube.com/shorts/-gQetey6F… Blockchain transactions alone don’t prove adoption. In our new YouTube Short from @135Research, @MillennialMike7 explains the ABC circular activity problem and how Capital Velocity Economics (CVE) examines reported activity vs. real economic movement.

Tokenization content is really campy. It reminds me of fantasy football content where it’s based mostly off personality and vibes. But there’s surprisingly more utility behind fantasy football content because there’s at least some useful metrics behind it that are rooted in player performance history and forecasting.

These Bots don't even know the name of my Crypto Boy Band. But they're all on me like they want to connect to my API. And yet I sit behind my terminal and ask myself why. On earth AM I now a front man of a Crypto Boy Band. ❤️🥁🤘
Boy do I miss Sora. Could have made so many more videos by now. Can't wait for the day that we get Sora 2.0 so I can start my Crypto Boy Band.

I’m probably not going to put covers on decks moving forward. For decks in particular, covers are kind of illogical. We made a ceremony out of putting our names, logos, and brands on a page that usually serves no real utility. And it’s just an inefficient use of space.

It’s amazing how quickly social media sentiment around something as simple as an NFL QB like CJ Stroud changes. Two weeks ago the consensus was that he was a clown for turning down the rumored but never proven $50M per year extension. Today it’s that Stroud will be a very rich man in the offseason as social media now has the dude leaving in Free Agency. This is a microcosm for markets like digital assets, crypto, stocks, bonds etc. and why I put little weight into the information I come across on this app and shifted most of my analysis and decision making to quantitative frameworks, systems and models. They aren’t always right by any means, but at least I can keep track of the data, logic, and evidence while having the ability to continually refine them for future decision making.

"The new generation of mathematicians who were openly interested in 'how the real world works.' These scholars broke with the cloistered tradition of mathematics in several important ways. For one thing, they used computers constantly, a practice traditional mathematicians frowned on... And finally, as if to emphasize their emergence from academia into the world, they dressed and spoke with what one senior mathematician called 'a deplorable excess of personality.' In fact, they often behaved like rock stars."

There is one part of the exercise that does make sense - requirements (which they divide into functional and non-functional). This tends to sort out the serious from the amateur.

In my (direct & indirect) experience, none of the people on these committees will be thinking in terms of formulas and mathematics. For the most part it's an educational exercise, so testing isn't on the agenda either. Height & resistance to verbal attacks is more the goal.

Possibly bc of structure of Europe; it's many countries. So when they get together to do things, they tend to take a committee approach with representation from every country. Which means they something/way to work that keeps consensus across a broad church.

Serious question: why does so much European digital asset policy arrive as frameworks, taxonomies and architecture diagrams? Some of these decks are really thoughtful, but I’d like to see models with math. Once you write the equations, the claims become testable.

Economics is a lot more fun, but accounting is far more useful from a real world application standpoint. The same is true for a surprising amount of finance, where people can understand the theory without really understanding the mechanics and component relationships. And if you think that’s controversial, boy do I have news for you about digital assets.

I have a love-hate with accounting. Make no mistake, it sucks, especially when executing the required functions. But the knowledge sets are extremely useful and open intellectual doors into so many other fields.

I can’t take anyone that uses terms like “programmatic banking” seriously or people that spread fear mongering research notes about spaceman agentic bank runs. The vast majority of households don’t even know what an agent is, and they wouldn’t give them access to their savings even if they did. These are also the same people that think households in the developed world want to be their own bank, and the past decade has proven that they don’t, at least not yet. Why does this stuff keep show up in my feed?
