I came into crypto to make money.
Now I’m learning (the hard way) how to actually trade.
No signals. No “trust me bro.” Just the real process:
• What I’m studying
• The setups I’m testing
• The wins
• The losses
• The lessons that stick
If you’re also figuring this out (or further along and willing to share), stick around. I’m documenting everything.
What’s one lesson that actually stuck for you? Drop it below. 👇
Trying to find a weekend routine that balances learning to trade with having a life. Do you take weekends off the charts, or use them to review your week?
Charts closed for the night. Tomorrow I'll keep learning, keep my risk small, and not chase anything. Experienced traders, what's one thing you always do before you shut it down for the day?
Steak dinner and a backtest. Had LuxAlgo Quant pull up a strategy on BTC tonight. The equity curve looks pretty, but I know a backtest isn't real money. Experienced traders, what do you check before you trust a backtest enough to trade it?
Watched BTC flush overnight and then rip right back this morning. My beginner brain wants to chase it. Experienced traders, how do you handle the urge to jump into a move you missed?
Seeing a lot of Moonvember talk today. As a beginner who's been burned chasing hype before, I'm curious: how do experienced traders tell real momentum apart from excitement? What do you actually look at?
October was brutal for leveraged longs. As a beginner, leverage honestly scares me. Experienced traders, when did you start using it, and what's the one rule you wish you'd had from day one?
End of a wild week. Scary headlines, red candles, and my gut screaming to do something. I mostly sat on my hands and watched, and I learned more from that than from any trade. Experienced traders, how do you reset after a week like this?
GM ☕ Made it to Friday. This week I learned that sitting out a trade is a decision too, and it saved me money. Experienced traders, what's one lesson from this week you'd pass on to a beginner?
GM ☕ Heading to work, so no chart-watching for me today. Honestly that might be the best risk management I've got 😅 Traders with day jobs, how do you balance the two?
First FOMC day where I actually know what FOMC is 😅 Plan is to not trade the announcement and just watch how BTC reacts. Experienced traders, do you sit out Fed days or trade them? What did you wish you knew your first time?
GM! Still early in my trading journey. Experienced traders, what does your morning routine look like before the market gets going?
Question for experienced traders: what's the one thing you wish you'd learned before your first trade?
One thing I’m realizing: most of the damage doesn’t come from bad setups. It comes from taking them when I’m tired, bored, or trying to make back a loss, even when LuxAlgo highlights something.
Still working on catching that earlier.
🙏🏽 Amen
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Day 1 of learning in public and I already picked up a tip from @TheCryptoData: set orders at strong support/resistance and walk away. If price runs 30% away, cancel it. No chasing. Writing that one down 📝
