We're busy doing research and I'm using this tool to do that research and making it better as we go, I think if I give you the tools too the community can help us push forward in ways we haven't seen. Q. When does the contest end?
It's one of hardest contest on earth, so it ends when we beat the last round or give up with no more ideas.
SHA-256 Each round is a boss. No one human in history has gotten past Boss Round 38 (20 years+).
This week Dariia Porechna @FutureDies with our help got Ai + Humans to Round 39 making history.
But we haven't found a way past Round 40 its a much harder boss. This is what we're researching 24 hours a day to find.
Blake is round 2 (Humans) vs round 2 (Ai+Humans) No improvement.

SHA-256 is not broken, but its security margin lost 1 more round this year:
Last week I found a collision attack on reduced 39-round that improves prior art by over 30 bits and the first differential attack on that round better than generic search on @yukonresearch Hashsmash board.
The attack rests on the same method as prior art ePrint 2026/1120 with new insights that first 2 state words could remain free, allowing a critical condition at step 16 rebuilt as a claw-search problem rather than a probabilistic filter. Took days of watching SAT logs, burning cores and arguing with Claude on what's possible to get a result close to generic search.
Since my initial submission, other hashsmash participants sraiw, @cyberaxe, @privacymage, @lamb356_ and @geeknik pushed it down by over 6.5 bits, currently estimated at 118.15 bits. The tree of submissions is hard to follow, so I put the construction, insights and numbers into a blog and am working on detailed technical report.
It's fascinating to see an initial structural observation develop into an improvement in the reduced-round collision frontier within days. AI is now a real aid in cryptanalysis and open collaboration speeds it up.

We're kicking ass, push back to 2nd on 3 fronts. Push alot of Poseidon and build grids and found 100's of what couldn't work. Learn alot, we'll have so much to publish after the contest of what worked didn't work.

This is the worst market ever for holders.
Also it’s not even good for traders it’s only good for the trading apps, trading bots, scammers, and devs.
Unlike most here in crypto I made my original money trading stocks.
I came to crypto because I saw people making 100-1000x
That is what onboards not the bundle farms.
