I'm Sam, and by now, some of you know me a bit. I write to harmonise my nervous system with the world around me, the small and large battles I fought internally and sometimes publicly. I'm an entrepreneur and I co-own two businesses, a pawnshop and a jewelry store. I could not be prouder of all my decisions along the way. I knew at 19 years old that I was going to own my own business one day; I had no idea how, when, or how to turn my idea into real money. My first job (16 years)was organizing other people's closets in my building. My first client paid me 500 dollars. (two hours) It blew my mind that all I did was declutter her closet(2), yeah!! That was my moment. I had the motivation, the stamina, the mindset, and a little bit of money. Everything locked in place; the vision was clear. I'm going to work for myself. Me now.

There's a healthy balance in loving someone in the purest form but also respecting your own boundaries, nurturing your individuality, and allowing space for personal growth. True love flourishes when both hearts support each other while keeping their own light, keeping the connection strong, free, and genuine.

What's in a profile picture, and what do we choose to share with others? Sometimes, it’s a carefully curated selfie in perfect lighting. That's me. Other times, it’s that suspiciously blurry photo from the archives because, hey, mystery is attractive. We share smiles, pets, vacations, or the occasional plate of tacos because nothing screams “I’m interesting” like a well-framed carnitas shot. I see a lot of these. And let’s be honest, some of us spend more time picking the right picture in the moment. A profile picture is basically our digital handshake, except sometimes it’s a thumbs-up, sometimes it’s a duck face, and occasionally, it’s just our AI-generated version pretending to be us. And it's all fine. My daughter saw my old profile pic and said, “I didn't approve this pic. Let me have your phone, tada! She is a riot. #NewProfilePic

It has been a long, productive, reflective, and financially positive time. I'm truly grateful, always, to live on this planet and share the small things that make our days fruitful.
