Southend was the wild friend who taught me life lessons—some I'd rather forget! Sharon Horwood kept me grounded as a mentor, while Terrance Blackman threw open the doors to the LGBTQ+ world when I came out. Southend also taught me a lot about what not to be… but gave me plenty of almost-feral memories, the kind that could fill a novel (or at least a cautionary tale).
It’s all love really—a mix of ‘what was I thinking’ and ‘I wouldn’t change a thing.’
