The National Basketball Referees Association mourns the passing of pioneering NBA Referee, Tommy Nuñez Sr. In 1972, Tommy became the first hispanic Referee in professional sports and led a three-decades long career on the NBA floor. Off the court, Nuñez championed young adults through his foundation which funded youth events and provided scholarships: bit.ly/4cUtfPs
