Japan Aviation Electronics raised its full-year sales and operating profit forecasts on Wednesday, citing ADAS and AI-related data center demand, but cut its ordinary and net profit outlook on expected non-operating expenses such as first-half currency losses. First-half profit missed its own April forecast, which the company blamed on weaker-than-expected demand in some markets in the June quarter, a further surge in copper and other raw material prices, higher labor costs and currency losses.
First half (April–September) vs a year earlier, Japanese GAAP:
Net sales: ¥123.56B vs ¥110.44B (+11.9%); April forecast ¥120.0B
Operating profit: ¥3.28B vs ¥4.76B (−31.1%); forecast ¥3.8B
Operating margin: 2.7% vs 4.3%; gross margin 14.4% vs 16.4%
Ordinary profit: ¥2.18B vs ¥4.74B (−53.9%), after ¥635M of FX losses; forecast ¥3.5B
Net profit: ¥1.39B vs ¥3.12B (−55.4%); forecast ¥2.7B
EPS: ¥20.62 vs ¥46.23
July–September quarter (not reported by the company; derived by subtracting Q1 from first-half figures): sales ¥65.31B (+11.0% y/y, +12.1% q/q); operating profit ¥2.95B vs ¥3.28B a year earlier and ¥327M in Q1; net profit ¥1.06B vs ¥2.26B.
By market: automotive ¥65.54B (+17.3%), industrial and infrastructure ¥20.69B (+50.7%), mobile devices ¥28.89B (−13.8%), aviation and space ¥5.23B (+14.1%). Connector segment income fell to ¥3.89B from ¥6.49B (prior year restated after User Interface Solutions was merged into Connector); aerospace rose to ¥1.85B from ¥787M.
Full year to March 2027, revised from April 24:
Sales ¥255.0B (was ¥240.0B; FY3/26 ¥227.87B)
Operating profit ¥10.5B (was ¥9.5B; FY3/26 ¥8.94B)
Ordinary profit ¥7.8B (was ¥8.5B; FY3/26 ¥8.25B)
Net profit ¥5.0B (was ¥6.0B; FY3/26 ¥7.07B); EPS ¥74.13 (was ¥88.98)
Second-half rate assumed at ¥155 per dollar; dividend ¥50 (¥25 interim) vs ¥60
In the English translation of its forecast revision notice, the company said it expects "growing demand for advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) products for Japanese clients" and "further expansion of demand in the industrial and infrastructure market against the backdrop of active investments in AI semiconductors and data centers."
Why it matters: JAE said in the English translation of its results release that it "fell short of fully absorbing increasing costs owing to higher prices of key raw materials such as gold and copper," even as #AI-driven chip-equipment demand lifted its industrial sales by half.

Liquid AI (@liquidai) on Tuesday released LFM3, a new generation of its open-weight Liquid Foundation Models: six models of about 2B parameters each covering text, vision, audio, "omni" and decision tasks, all branched from a single 1.7B-parameter base and built to run and be fine-tuned on local devices.
The company said the text model, LFM3-1.7B, has a 256K-token context window and fits in about 1 GB at 4-bit precision. It uses a new "tri-hybrid" design that mixes 13 short-convolution layers with 5 sliding-window attention and 6 global attention layers, and was pre-trained on 22 trillion tokens. LFM3-VL-2B is the first Liquid vision model to accept video, LFM3-Audio-2B handles speech in and out across 18 languages, and LFM3-Omni-2B is its first model combining vision, audio and language. Weights are on Hugging Face under the LFM Open License v1.0, which grants commercial-use rights only to organizations with less than $10 million in annual revenue, and the company says every model can be fine-tuned on a single GPU.
On Liquid's own benchmark tables, LFM3-1.7B averaged 49.37 across its text suite versus 47.24 for Alibaba's Qwen3.5-9B, while the company acknowledged: "Larger models still win on agentic coding and knowledge, where size matters most."
Launch partners named by Liquid include AMD (@AMD), Arm, Intel, Nvidia, Qualcomm (@Qualcomm) and OpenRouter, with Mercedes-Benz and Shopify testing pre-release. Support code for the models first surfaced in a public llama.cpp pull request about two hours before the announcement.
"As AI increasingly moves from the cloud to the client, developers need models that can be deployed efficiently across the broad spectrum of AI PCs," said Josh Hort, head of ISV enabling at AMD.
Why it matters: Liquid pitches LFM3 as small specialists to use "instead of running one large general-purpose model," and says that on a single Nvidia B300 the text model "can produce 3.6 billion tokens per day at 1,024 concurrent requests," enough for it to run more than 300,000 #AI agents in parallel in one test.

Socionext raised its full-year sales and profit forecasts on Wednesday, but the Japanese custom #chip designer said the lift came from a weaker yen and that full-year revenue would come in slightly below its April plan on a currency-neutral basis after first-half sales of Chinese automotive products and others fell short.
July–September quarter (Q2 FY3/27) vs a year earlier:
Net sales: ¥60.4B vs ¥52.7B (+14.7%); Q1 ¥39.0B (+54.7% q/q)
Product revenue: ¥50.2B vs ¥44.5B (+12.8%)
NRE revenue: ¥10.2B vs ¥8.0B (+28.4%)
Operating income: ¥2.3B vs ¥2.3B; margin 3.9% vs 4.4% (Q1: loss of ¥0.7B)

Full year to March 2027, revised from the April 28 forecast:
Net sales ¥225.0B (was ¥215.0B; FY3/26 ¥200.834B)
Operating income ¥15.5B (was ¥14.0B; FY3/26 ¥12.354B)

Net profit ¥10.5B (was ¥10.0B); EPS ¥59.86 (was ¥57.05)
Second-half rate assumed at ¥130 per dollar, vs ¥159.4 in the first half; dividend kept at ¥50
In the English translation of its results presentation, the company said first-half revenue "was below the initial forecast (as of April), on an FX neutral basis, due to Chinese automotive products and other factors," while second-half revenue "may exceed the initial forecast, driven by new mass production of US automotive and US data center products."
Why it matters: Socionext said in the translated presentation that "The shift to AD/ADAS and zonal architectures is driving demand for high-performance computing using AI," but it still expects product gross margin to slip from last year on large-scale advanced projects and "higher-than-forecast costs."

F-Secure narrowed its 2026 outlook on Wednesday after the Finnish consumer cybersecurity company posted what it called its highest organic growth since its 2022 demerger, driven by its #EmbeddedSecurity business with telecom partners, even as it booked a write-down linked to a large partner that has signalled it will not renew its contract when it expires in March 2027.
Q3 (July–September 2026) vs a year earlier:
Revenue: €40.5M vs €36.1M (+12.2% reported, +12.4% currency neutral); Q2 €39.8M
Partner channel: €34.1M vs €29.5M (+15.6%; +15.8% c.n.)
Direct channel: €6.4M vs €6.6M (−2.9%)
Adjusted EBITA: €13.6M vs €13.3M; margin 33.6% vs 37.0% (Q2 27.7%)
EBIT: €7.3M vs €9.7M; margin 18.0% vs 26.9%
Profit for the period: €3.9M vs €6.2M (Q2 €4.1M)
EPS: €0.02 vs €0.04
Operating cash flow: €9.1M vs €11.6M
2026 outlook, narrowed:
Currency neutral revenue growth 8–11% (previously 7–12%; midpoint unchanged at 9.5%)
Adjusted EBITA €46–50M (previously €44–50M; midpoint €48M vs €47M)
The company said a Tier 1 partner's intention, first disclosed on Sept. 29, not to extend its agreement after March 2027 led to a €2.1M impairment of capitalised assets in the quarter. The contract brought in about €16M of revenue in 2025. F-Secure said the 2026 outlook is not affected but that 2027 revenue would be weaker than previously anticipated if the deal is not extended. On Oct. 1 it announced change negotiations that could cut up to 145 roles globally.
"The third quarter of 2026 brought clear progress with new business wins, an expanding product portfolio and active participation in new tenders. We also received a non-renewal indication from one of our Tier 1 partners, which is a setback for 2027," said President and CEO Timo Laaksonen.
Why it matters: F-Secure says 12.4% currency neutral growth marked "the highest organic growth figure since the demerger in 2022," and it is betting that cybersecurity built into operator apps can offset the loss of a top partner.

Dassault Systèmes said on Wednesday that third-quarter revenue rose 5% at constant currencies to €1.55 billion, at the high end of its objectives, and raised its full-year non-IFRS operating margin and earnings targets as 3DEXPERIENCE software revenue jumped 25%.
Reported revenue rose 6% from €1.46 billion a year earlier and was little changed from €1.56 billion in the second quarter. Software revenue grew 5% at constant currencies to €1.39 billion, with Industrial Innovation up 5% to €753 million, Mainstream Innovation up 8% to €375 million and Life Sciences up 1% to €266 million. Cloud software revenue rose 14% and ARR grew 6% to €4.50 billion. By region, Asia rose 12% and Europe 9% on a non-IFRS basis, while the Americas fell 3%.
Non-IFRS operating income rose 11% to €490 million, for a margin of 31.6% versus 30.1% a year earlier, above the 31.0% to 31.1% it had guided in July. Non-IFRS diluted EPS rose 8% at constant currencies to €0.32 from €0.29, above its €0.30 to €0.31 objective. IFRS operating income rose 8% to €325 million and IFRS EPS was €0.22, versus €0.20.
Dassault now targets 2026 non-IFRS revenue of €6.399 billion to €6.459 billion, a midpoint of €6.429 billion versus €6.356 billion in July, with an operating margin of 32.5% to 32.7% and EPS of €1.35 to €1.36, a midpoint of €1.355 versus €1.32. The targets include ArisGlobal, whose acquisition it announced on July 23 and completed in September.
Why it matters: Dassault chief executive Pascal Daloz says industries are becoming AI-native, and that its 3D UNIV+RSES combine science, industrial knowledge and #AI to create Industry World Models and Virtual Twins at scale.
"The next industrial revolution will not be defined by AI alone, but by how intelligence connects the virtual and physical worlds," said Daloz.

Full year to March 2027, revised:
Net sales ¥46.6B (was ¥45.5B; FY3/26 ¥35.301B)
Operating profit ¥4.1B (was ¥2.5B; FY3/26 loss of ¥403M)
Ordinary profit ¥3.9B (was ¥2.3B)
Net profit ¥2.55B (was ¥1.5B)
GPU infrastructure sales ¥20.85B (+156.0% vs ¥8.144B; ¥10.124B in the first half)
Annual dividend ¥8.00 (was ¥5.50), including a ¥2.50 30th-anniversary payout
In the English translation of its results presentation, the company said Nvidia H100/H200/B200 GPUs "maintained high utilization rates" and that "GPU infrastructure services drove sales growth due to improved unit prices." It said results "exceeded the revised forecast announced in July," and that the impact of the unauthorized access incident it first disclosed on Aug. 17 was "limited."
Why it matters: SAKURA said in the translated presentation that "Net sales in the second half are expected to exceed those in the first half, driven mainly by GPU infrastructure services," and it says it will "proceed with preparations to add new GPUs in response to AI demand trends."

Manhattan Associates said on Tuesday that third-quarter revenue rose 11% to $306.2 million and cloud subscription revenue jumped 28% to $134.4 million, and raised its full-year revenue, adjusted operating margin and adjusted EPS guidance.
Revenue was up from $275.8 million a year earlier and $297.8 million in the second quarter. Services revenue rose 1% to $134.42 million from $133.0 million, just under cloud's $134.44 million, and remaining performance obligations grew 25% from a year earlier to $2.59 billion. Adjusted operating income rose to $115.2 million from $103.4 million and GAAP operating income to $81.0 million from $75.8 million. Adjusted EPS climbed to $1.55 from $1.36, and GAAP EPS to $1.04 from 96 cents.
The #SupplyChain software company now sees 2026 revenue of $1.176 billion to $1.178 billion, a midpoint of $1.177 billion versus $1.163 billion in its July guidance, and adjusted EPS of $5.54 to $5.56, a midpoint of $5.55 versus $5.47 and above the $5.50 FactSet consensus, CNBC reported. Its adjusted operating margin outlook rose to 35.2% to 35.4% from 35.0% to 35.2%. On the earnings call, the company raised its RPO growth outlook to 21% from 18% to 20%.
Why it matters: Manhattan Associates chief executive Eric Clark says the company posted another record bookings quarter on strong demand and achieved two milestones, with cloud revenue surpassing services revenue and total quarterly revenue exceeding $300 million.
"While macroeconomic headwinds persist, Manhattan's business fundamentals are solid," said Clark.

SK hynix said on Wednesday that third-quarter revenue more than quadrupled to a record 104.62 trillion won, the first time its quarterly sales have topped 100 trillion won, as #HBM4 shipments began in earnest and server DDR5 sales rose sharply.
Revenue rose 328% from 24.45 trillion won a year earlier and 32% from 79.32 trillion won in the second quarter. Operating profit jumped 632% to a record 83.33 trillion won from 11.38 trillion won, and 38% from 60.54 trillion won in the second quarter, for an operating margin of 80%, versus 76% in the prior quarter and 47% a year earlier. Net profit rose 216% to 39.78 trillion won but fell 58% from 93.92 trillion won in the second quarter.
The results beat LSEG SmartEstimates of 98.34 trillion won in revenue and 76.72 trillion won in operating profit, CNBC reported. Yonhap said the operating profit was 9.3% above a Yonhap Infomax consensus of 76.26 trillion won.
SK hynix said it will return about 100 trillion won to shareholders for 2026, made up of at least 30 trillion won in dividends and at least 60 trillion won in buybacks and cancellations, including the 40 trillion won repurchase approved on Aug. 19, which it said was completed last week. Its board declared a third-quarter dividend of 14 trillion won, or 20,000 won a share, half of it a special payout from its Kioxia investment gains, and approved a 20 trillion won buyback; only the 10 trillion won to be cancelled counts toward the return total, with the remaining roughly 10 trillion won going to employee compensation. The company also said it has discontinued its review of a Solidigm IPO.
Why it matters: SK hynix says it has long-term agreements with 14 major customers covering more than 50% of its 2027 and 2028 production capacity, and expects demand to exceed memory supply through 2030 given the technical difficulty of leading-edge processes and long lead times for new fabs.
"The customer trust built through our technological competitiveness is leading to long-term contracts, and our business structure is transforming into one with earnings stability and mid-to-long term demand visibility," said CEO Kwak Noh-Jung.

Intapp said on Tuesday that fiscal first-quarter subscription revenue rose 29% from a year earlier to $125.5 million and total revenue rose 16% to $161.3 million, both above the top of the ranges it gave in August, and raised its full-year outlook.
Cloud annual recurring revenue grew 28% to $515.3 million, 85% of total ARR of $607.1 million, and trailing 12-month cloud net revenue retention was 123%. Non-GAAP EPS rose to 44 cents from 24 cents a year earlier, above its 39 cents to 41 cents guidance; the GAAP net loss narrowed to 2 cents a share from 18 cents. Non-GAAP operating income was $35.4 million versus $20.9 million, also above its $33.4 million to $34.4 million guidance.
Intapp now sees fiscal 2027 subscription revenue of $530.5 million to $534.5 million, a midpoint of $532.5 million, up from $530.7 million in August, and non-GAAP EPS of $1.64 to $1.68, a midpoint of $1.66, up from $1.60. It also lifted its full-year total revenue outlook to $658.2 million to $662.2 million, from $656.5 million to $660.5 million, and non-GAAP operating income to $136.8 million to $140.8 million, from $134.7 million to $138.7 million. For the second quarter it guided subscription revenue of $129.1 million to $130.1 million, a midpoint of $129.6 million.

Ultra Clean said on Tuesday that third-quarter revenue rose 49% from a year earlier and 18% from the second quarter to what it called a record $759.0 million, above the top of its own $700 million to $750 million guidance, as the #semiconductor subsystems supplier cited accelerating customer demand.
Products revenue rose 53% to $681.9 million and services 19% to $77.1 million. Non-GAAP earnings per share were $1.15, above the 83 cents to $1.03 it had forecast in August and up from 24 cents a year earlier. GAAP EPS was 85 cents, within its 67 cents to 87 cents guidance, versus a loss of 24 cents a year earlier. GAAP gross margin widened to 16.9% from 16.1% a year earlier, and GAAP operating margin to 7.1% from 2.1%; on a non-GAAP basis, gross margin was 17.3% and operating margin 9.0%. GAAP net income attributable to the company was $39.1 million, against a $10.9 million loss a year earlier, and non-GAAP net income was $53.2 million.
For the fourth quarter, Ultra Clean guided revenue of $800 million to $860 million, a midpoint of $830 million, and non-GAAP EPS of $1.11 to $1.35, a midpoint of $1.23; GAAP EPS guidance is $1.02 to $1.26.
Why it matters: Ultra Clean chief executive James Xiao says the company responded with speed and agility to scale production, and is positioning itself for what he calls the next phase of #AI-driven industry expansion.
"Through UCT 3.0, we are building a more agile and efficient company that is well positioned to anticipate customer needs, accelerate innovation, and translate industry growth into lasting shareholder value," said Xiao.

Teradyne said on Tuesday that third-quarter revenue rose 70% from a year earlier to $1.31 billion, above the top of its own $1.2 billion to $1.3 billion guidance, with record revenue in memory and integrated systems test that the #ChipTesting company said was driven by all things AI.
Semiconductor test revenue was $1.07 billion, product test $138 million and robotics $96 million, which Teradyne said was the unit's highest third-quarter revenue to date, adding that robotics achieved profitability. Non-GAAP earnings per share rose to $2.29 from 85 cents a year earlier, above the $1.85 to $2.15 it had forecast in July, and GAAP EPS climbed to $2.17 from 75 cents. GAAP gross profit rose to $771 million, a 59.1% margin against 58.4% a year earlier, and operating income nearly tripled to $402 million from $145 million. Revenue slipped from a record $1.33 billion in the second quarter.
For the fourth quarter, Teradyne guided revenue of $1.25 billion to $1.35 billion and non-GAAP EPS of $1.95 to $2.25, midpoints $50 million and 10 cents above the third-quarter guidance it gave in July.
Why it matters: Teradyne chief executive Greg Smith says demand extended across the #AI value chain, from memory and hard disk drive test to high-speed interconnect and robotics, and that the company approaches 2027 with a more diversified business and an expanding set of opportunities.
"Our wafer to data center strategy and the breadth of our portfolio sustained positive momentum in Q3," said CEO Greg Smith.

NXP Semiconductors said on Tuesday that third-quarter revenue rose 19% from a year earlier to $3.79 billion, above the $3.75 billion midpoint of its own guidance, and that its board authorized a new $5 billion share buyback on top of the $1.3 billion left under its prior program.
Industrial and IoT revenue jumped 39% to $802 million and communications infrastructure and other rose 54% to $503 million, while automotive, the Dutch #Semiconductors company's largest business, grew 13% to $2.07 billion and mobile fell 4% to $411 million. Non-GAAP earnings per share rose to $4.20 from $3.11 a year earlier, above the $4.11 midpoint of its forecast, and GAAP EPS climbed to $3.48 from $2.48. Non-GAAP gross margin widened to 58.6% from 57.0%, and non-GAAP free cash flow was $1.21 billion, or 31.9% of revenue.
For the fourth quarter, NXP guided revenue of $3.75 billion to $3.95 billion, a $3.85 billion midpoint that would be up 15% from a year earlier, and non-GAAP EPS of $4.14 to $4.58. During the third quarter, NXP said in August that BMW Group would deploy its ultra-wideband ranging and radar solutions across its fleet, and VSMC, its joint venture with Vanguard International Semiconductor, opened its first 300mm fab in Singapore in late September.
Why it matters: NXP chief executive Rafael Sotomayor says software-defined vehicles are driving increasing demand for its next-generation solutions, while data center infrastructure and Trusted Physical #AI applications create new vectors for long-term growth.

F5 (@F5) said on Tuesday that fiscal fourth-quarter revenue rose 13% to $917 million, above the top of its own $870 million to $890 million guidance, as product revenue jumped 23% to $510 million, and its board authorized an additional $1.5 billion for share buybacks.
Systems revenue grew 29% to $239 million and software revenue 19% to $271 million, while services revenue rose 3% to $408 million. Non-GAAP earnings per share were $4.42, against $4.39 a year earlier and above the $4.14 to $4.26 the #Cybersecurity and app delivery company had forecast in July; GAAP EPS slipped to $3.23 from $3.26, and non-GAAP operating margin narrowed to 33.7% from 37.0%. For the full fiscal year, revenue rose 11% to $3.42 billion, ahead of the 9% to 10% growth outlook F5 had raised in July, and non-GAAP EPS was $17.49, above its $17.21 to $17.33 forecast.
For fiscal 2027, F5 guided revenue growth of 8% to 9% and non-GAAP EPS of $18.00 to $18.30, and for the first quarter it expects revenue of $875 million to $895 million and non-GAAP EPS of $4.25 to $4.37. The new buyback authorization comes on top of the $322 million remaining under its existing program.
Why it matters: F5 chief executive François Locoh-Donou says frontier #AI is accelerating vulnerability discovery to machine speed and expanding the attack surface through APIs and AI agents, and that F5 is focused on using AI to identify risk earlier and enforcing consistent protection at runtime across every environment.
"Nine consecutive quarters of double-digit product revenue growth reflect F5's expanding strategic role as our customers navigate hybrid multicloud complexity, an intensifying threat landscape, and a rapidly evolving AI-driven world," said François Locoh-Donou, F5's Chairman, President and CEO.

Logitech said on Tuesday that sales for its fiscal second quarter rose 3%, or 2% in constant currency, to $1.22 billion, near the top of its own $1.185 billion to $1.22 billion outlook, and forecast that third-quarter sales could fall as much as 5% in constant currency as a #Semiconductor supplier recovers from a factory incident.
Non-GAAP operating income was $231 million, up 0.4% and above the $185 million to $210 million the company had guided for in July, which chief financial officer Matteo Anversa said was driven by very strong gross margins; non-GAAP gross margin rose 140 basis points to 45.2%. Non-GAAP earnings per share rose to $1.51 from $1.45 a year earlier, and GAAP EPS to $1.25 from $1.15. Video collaboration sales grew 12% and #Gaming 8%, while tablet accessories fell 32% and webcams 9%. Logitech returned $406 million to shareholders through its annual dividend and share buybacks.
For the December quarter, Logitech guided sales of $1.36 billion to $1.43 billion, down 4% to up 1% in dollars and down 5% to flat in constant currency, with non-GAAP operating income of $220 million to $255 million. That range includes an estimated $70 million to $80 million hit from the supplier incident, which Logitech first disclosed in July, when it estimated the third-quarter impact at up to $200 million.
Why it matters: Logitech says the supplier's facility, closed at the end of June after a serious incident, opened in September and began ramping up production, and although its capacity is still below Logitech's required level, the company expects it to resume full production by the end of the calendar year.
"We delivered our eleventh consecutive quarter of growth and launched 19 new products for the holiday quarter," said Hanneke Faber, Logitech chief executive officer.

Seagate (@Seagate) said on Tuesday that revenue for its fiscal first quarter, ended Oct. 2, jumped 61% from a year earlier to $4.23 billion, above the top of its own guidance of $4.1 billion, plus or minus $100 million, and forecast another big step up for the December quarter.
Non-GAAP earnings per share rose to $7.68 from $2.61 a year earlier, also above the top of the $7.30, plus or minus 20 cents, the #DataStorage maker had guided for in July, while GAAP EPS was $7.59, up from $2.43. Non-GAAP gross margin widened to 57.8% from 40.1%, and non-GAAP operating margin to 50.7% from 29.0%. Free cash flow was $1.5 billion; Seagate retired about $1.2 billion of debt in the quarter and another $750 million after it ended, cutting gross debt to $1.6 billion, and raised its quarterly dividend by about 3% to 76 cents.
For the fiscal second quarter, Seagate guided revenue of $4.8 billion, plus or minus $100 million, and non-GAAP EPS of $9.20, plus or minus 20 cents; those midpoints are $700 million and $1.90 above the midpoints of the first-quarter guidance it gave in July.
Why it matters: Seagate says long-term customer demand visibility reinforces its view of a multi-year growth phase, and that its #HAMR-based technology roadmap lets it address growing exabyte demand through areal density gains while maintaining supply discipline.
"Seagate delivered another quarter of record profitability and our highest ever free cash flow in the September quarter, demonstrating the earnings power of our business amid a strengthening demand environment," said Dave Mosley, Seagate's chair and chief executive officer.

ASM International said on Tuesday that third-quarter revenue rose 45%, or 44% at constant currencies, to a record €1.16 billion, at the upper end of its own guidance of €1.1 billion, plus or minus 5%, and above the €1.10 billion analysts had expected, according to Reuters. The Dutch #Semiconductors equipment maker said sales were driven by strong #AI-related demand, an acceleration in advanced logic and foundry, including a first solid contribution from 1.4nm investments, and strong growth in memory.
Gross margin held at 52.0%, against 51.9% a year earlier, and adjusted operating profit jumped 56% to €386.7 million, for a margin of 33.4%. Net earnings fell to €308.1 million, or €6.27 per diluted share, from €384.1 million, or €7.82, a year earlier, when results included a €181.4 million impairment reversal on investments in associates; adjusted net earnings rose to €315.4 million from €206.2 million.
ASM expects fourth-quarter revenue of €1.23 billion, plus or minus 5%, at constant currencies, above the €1.18 billion LSEG consensus, and full-year 2026 revenue up about 35%. For 2027 it now projects more than €5.7 billion at constant currencies, which it said means reaching the revenue target it set for 2030 at its Investor Day in September 2025 three years ahead of plan. At that event it had given a 2027 range of €3.7 billion to €4.6 billion, and in July it said 2027 would exceed the top of that range; analysts polled by LSEG had expected €5.41 billion. ASM also authorized a new share buyback of up to €300 million after completing a €150 million program announced in March.
Why it matters: ASM said it can now confirm a solid double-digit increase in its served available market at 1.4nm compared with 2nm, together with higher market share, and expects advanced logic and foundry to be its strongest growth driver in 2027, though it warned that supply chain conditions are increasingly tight.
"The demand environment remains very strong. The continued build-out of AI infrastructure is driving significant capacity requirements across the industry, particularly in the leading edge," said Hichem M'Saad, CEO of ASM.

Google DeepMind (@GoogleDeepMind) announced Genie 4 on Tuesday, an #AI world model that generates interactive, real-time simulations with native audio, including ambient sound, music and dialogue, and lets users steer a scene with natural-language prompts such as changing the weather, moving the camera or adding a character.
Google says Gemini 3.8 Flash acts as a guiding agent in the loop, breaking goals into steps and reviewing incoming frames to check that each step succeeded, while Gemini Omni anchors the simulations in real-world appearance and behavior. Genie 4 is rolling out as a research preview to trusted testers, with Google AI Ultra subscribers in Project Genie and early-access partners of the Gemini API and AI Studio to follow. It succeeds Genie 3, which DeepMind announced in August 2025.
The Verge reported that Genie 4 experiences can run about two minutes, up from one minute for Genie 3; Google DeepMind's post gives no duration, saying only that Genie 4 keeps environments coherent over short sessions and that details and object permanence can still drift as a simulation runs longer. All video and audio generated by Genie 4 will carry Google's SynthID watermark.
Why it matters: Google says pairing Gemini with Genie 4 lets it model complex, multi-step events and test how AI systems navigate different environments before bringing them to the real world, including training environments for #Robots and agents.
"The most dramatic leap is how Genie 4 simulates people, creating characters that move naturally, respond organically to their environments, and can be interactively steered in real-time," Raia Hadsell, Diego Rivas and Hang Qi wrote in Google DeepMind's announcement.
