How Bark works, in 10 seconds. Bark has two halves. The Ark server coordinates Ark, Lightning and on-chain payments, backed by Bitcoin Core and Core Lightning. The Bark SDK runs inside your wallet app: keys stay on the device, and it talks to the server directly.
