EL-SAYED: I get that the President takes personal offense to my first name. He doesn't mind as much when it's the Saudis who are funding his son-in-law's private equity. Doesn't seem to mind as much when it's the Qataris who are giving them a $400 million private jet. He just seems to have trouble pronouncing it when it's my name.
I don't care how he pronounces my name. I don't even care that he remembers my whole name. Because he can just go on and call me senator after November.

⚡️ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to demolish an entire Hebron neighborhood, expel its residents and build "more and more settlements" after two Israeli soldiers were killed in a shooting near the illegally occupied West Bank city on Friday.
Two Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a junction outside Hebron, killing a staff sergeant and a sergeant, before Israeli forces killed them. Palestinian media identified them as Hamouda Jaaba and Firas Jaaba, both 27, from Hebron. Netanyahu blamed Hamas but offered no evidence beyond ammunition the army said it found in their car.
"Our first step will be to demolish this site and completely transform it," Netanyahu said, adding Israel is "building and arranging over 100 new settlements." Israeli forces sealed off Hebron, the largest city in the West Bank, and arrested dozens as Netanyahu ordered preparations for a full closure of the entire West Bank – applying to Palestinians only, with Israeli roads staying open to settlers.
The news comes just five days before Israel's elections, with Netanyahu trailing in the polls.

The Palestinian terror attack this morning would have been an even worse catastrophic event had the @IDF not acted so quickly. Will the media give this as much coverage as when olive pickers get detained for failing to report their activities?

The devastation in Gaza, the expansion of West Bank settlements and the uncertain strategic gains from the campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, not to mention the strategic debacle over Iran, have come at a considerable cost to Israel’s international standing and long-term security.
Yet the entirely legitimate criticisms of Bibi should not blind us to his almost animal instinct to survive and weather storms. Should Netanyahu prevail in Israel’s elections on October 27, he will have reinforced his claim to be one of the greatest political comeback fighters of modern times -- perhaps the greatest of them all.

Israel is finally charging a real price from the Palestinians. Following this morning’s attack, in which two soldiers were killed, Israel has begun demolishing illegal structures and will evacuate the entire Hebron neighborhood from which the terrorists came.
