ALT Probabilities for El Nino, La Nina, or neutral conditions to develop from May 2024 through March 2025. There is little to no chance of El Nino to form over this timeframe but the forecast currently shows a more than 90% chance of neutral conditions now with a strong chance that La Nina could form as early as July and continue through early next year.
ALT This is a graph that shows the past 10 El Nino's that transitioned to La Nina within a year, and the strength of each El Nino and La Nina. Of the 10 El Nino's portrayed here, 6 of them were strong and 4 of those were followed by a strong La Nina. But the strongest El Nino on the graph was actually followed by a weak La Nina. There is not enough years to show any particular trend.

Solar Eclipse & 14 Ducklings: A few weeks ago I discovered a mama duck sitting on 14eggs in my backyard. On 04.08.24 the day of the Partial Eclipse, I discovered 14 energetic ducklings following their mom in the yard. Lots of Q’s on this phenomenon! @LibbyKara @PGCPSCurriculum
