It's a double celebration for @maidstoneunited! 🏆👏
With their recent promotion and 10-years at the Gallagher Stadium, we caught up with co-owner @olivernjash to discuss The Stone's success and future ambitions.

If sustainability is the new keyword in English football then IREF must demand @EFL allow 3G pitches in League 2 ASAP. Madness that @suttonunited and @HarrogateTown had to rip their community pitches up when successful…

I know it’s not an analytical comment but how many serious ligament injuries have we seen on 3G pitches over ten years at @maidstoneunited due to the pitch? I can’t recall one. Meanwhile we’ve seen several on grass/mud pitches…so contrary to the hearsay, 3G pitches ARE SAFE!

Funnily enough I have had several exchanges with the owner to try and persuade him of the benefits of 3G. He could have campaigned within EFL and then earned £500k pa extra revenue with 3G. He didn’t.
Half of National League South clubs are now 3G clubs…massive change in the way the semi-pro game is run. Spreading up the pyramid fast. Let’s scrap the stupid NL rule obliging Sutton, Harrogate etc to remove 3G if promoted to EFL, it’s nuts
First @tonbridgeangels and now @HerneBayFC announce 3G pitch projects. Underlines the massive value of 3G to pro and semi-pro clubs. Revolutionary and game-changing for club finances, and the fans of both clubs are in for a great ride!
The Crouch report recommends EFL allow 3G pitches in League2 for a grace period of 3 years. We call on @EFL to grasp the metal and allow them unconditionally in League2 NOW @suttonunited @HarrogateTown @bromleyfc @DorkingWDRS @maidstoneunited @HWFCOfficial @OxCityFC @olivernjash

As we wait for Crouch report it’s great news EFL wants independent regulation for football. This means full reform of governance with clubs obliged to be more financially sustainable. Let’s make simple start: allow 3G in League2 and let clubs develop as community hubs @3G4US

The pitch @suttonunited had was as good as any grass pitch you’ll play on
International teams play on 3G, pro clubs in the National League play on them and hundreds of thousands of teams play and train on them
They are the way forward, they are the future, England miles behind – at Sutton, London

Sorry for @marineafc but whatever the actual problems in this case, clubs should always procure 3G pitches using the best consultants and best suppliers, cheap is not always cheerful………………Frustrated Marine postpone 3G pitch switch thenonleaguefootballpaper.co…
3G pitches in League 2…. Yessssssssssssssss!!!!!!
