Last Friday we got 6 referrals for patient-specific models for surgical planning in paediatric cardiology, orthopaedics, .... Record so far in a single day. Seems like it is time to start reducing the surgery queues. @Skanesus, #3dprinting, #patientspecific.

This week we experimented on soft tissue tumors using @formlabs 3D printers. The tumor is in a clear material that has hollowed out paths where the vessels are for reference. It is situated in the thigh and had a weight of about 4kg! #3dprint #skane #skrubben

An osteotomy is when a bone is cut to change it’s size or alignment. 3D printing gives the advantage for the surgeon to perform a test cut before proceeding to surgery. A good plan is crucial for success! These models were printed on our @Raise3D E2 printer. #sus #lth #3dprint

Finished two educational models for the neurosurgical department. The level of accuracy needed to perform this type of surgery is amazing. Printed in a Form3B using Clear resin that has been polished. Red colored resin was then poured inside the model and cured.

Tonight I’ll have finished the last of the final 1,600 shields. Tomorrow I will be taking my first day off, so expect not to see anything 3D printing related for me tomorrow 😁 again, hats off to @josefprusa and @erikcederb for giving me a purpose and allowing me to help others
