Why "Native 3D” doesn’t necessarily mean better 3D — and “Converted” doesn’t mean bad: ift.tt/HPyifx8 instagr.am/p/DdaLPSIjB0_/

After months without absolutely any new game from @Samsung, at least @CDProkektRed released an official patch to play Cyberpunk 2077 in 3D!!
Will they also support @Acer SpatialLabs TrueGame ecosystem of various 3D displays and notebooks?
So #Cyberpunk2077 just came to #3D with an official patch from @CDPROJEKTRED and it looks ABSOLUTELY GREAT on the @Samsung #Odyssey3D. Really happy to see some big games getting a 3D treatment (also don't forget #StellarBlade)

Forgotten Island 4DX VFR 3D review:
3D: 10 out of 10, #Better3DThanAvatar
4D: 10 out of 10
Movie: 9 out of 10, general score
No 3D Trailers. Water ON. Another movie with better 3D than all the Avatar movies, seems to become common finally. Variable Frame Rates are not noticeable, it looks like 24fps throughout, the high frame was never noticeable, but the Credits confirm Motion Grading by PixelWorks with later part of Credits crediting @truecutmotion
Looking forward to all future DreamWorks movies being in Variable Frame Rate 3D. I just wish @dcofficial @JamesGunn and @MarvelStudios @kevfeige would do VFR 3D for the DC and Marvel movies now that Native 48fps has been perfected to look indistinguishable from 24 fps. I should have known that Forgotten Island was having select scenes in HFR otherwise known as High Frame Rate because of all the frantic and other kind of scenes were I was able to make out everything despite it being a 3D screening.

SyLC 3D Player is free, runs on Windows, and after this v5.0 release I can finally say it plays three generations of stereoscopic content under one roof:
Blu-ray 3D / ISO / MVC MKV : through a heavily modified open-source H.264 decoder I've been hacking on for months. It even plays those MakeMKV-style BD3D backups where the two eye views sit in separate files with no SSIF interleave, as far as I know, nothing else on Earth plays those in actual 3D.
HEVC/H.265 packed 3D (full side-by-side / top-bottom) up to 4K 10-bit HDR, with real PQ/BT.2020 color management : not the washed-out gray you get when a player pretends HDR doesn't exist.
MV-HEVC : yes, Apple spatial videos. The MVC of the 2020s, playing on your 2010s 3D TV. There's something poetic about that.
Alternatively you can use PotPlayer instead.

A number of Blu-ray-related patents for Sony will be expiring between 2026 and 2031, ending their ability to collect royalties on physical movie and video game discs🚀
This means audiences will be forced to rely exclusively on streaming platforms, if physical media is entirely phased out.
Blu-Rays and UHD Blu-Rays have a noticeably superior quality compared to digital/streaming counter parts, as the latter suffers lower video and audio quality due to higher compression.
So once again, this isn’t about nostalgia, this is about Sony taking away:
❌Quality
❌Ownership
❌Competitive pricing
❌Preservation
Sony has recently removed 500 movies from users’ purchases list without compensation.
They are actively ruining our gaming and viewing experiences, while masquerading it as “the future”, and we MUST NOT BE SILENT.
We speak out, seek the law, and vote on laws that prevent a single company from destroying art and entertainment, due to the greed of their CEOs and shareholders.
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
