Heather Mac Donald makes a point that’s almost taboo now: modesty norms existed to protect women, not restrict them.
Her argument is that chastity and modesty came from an honest look at how differently men and women respond to sex, emotionally and hormonally. Remove those norms and you don’t get equality. You get a culture built around the male libido at its worst.
Today’s official line is that the sexes want the same things from sex. Very few people still believe that after their early twenties.
You can disagree with her fix. It’s much harder to argue the current campus setup is working for the young women living in it.

"Using just a tennis ball and an eye patch, you can train your cognitive reserve, your processing speed, and your reaction time."
"Start by throwing the ball against the wall, right arm to right arm, then alternate hands. That alone engages almost all of your executive functions."
"Then put on an eye patch to block out 50% of your vision, so your visual system has to work under load and stress. To make it harder, stand on one leg and bring your cerebellum and balance into it."
