Under Article 95B (3) of the Federal Constitution, Sabah and Sarawak have the unique right to impose their own State Sales Tax (SST), a power not granted to states of Malaya.
Why are you against the supreme law of Malaysia?
PM will chair the MA63 meeting this Friday in KK. Because he is weak, I think he will concede whatever Sarawak wants. Maybe Petros's sole gas aggregator role, worth 10 billion a year, will be confirmed.
Sarawak already won the SST taxes on petroleum products worth 4 billion during Muhyiddin's time.
When will we get a PM who will defend the interests of the Federation and of Petronas?
Anwar must not exchange political support for oil and gas to Sarawak. MA63 terms must be discussed openly in the interest of the nation and not become a barter trade among political leaders.
Let the Federal Court decide; let the rights of Petronas be litigated
When will I hear the Opposition politicians and UMNO leaders speak on this? Or will they behave like Anwar and not upset the Eastern bloc, which can derail their premiership plan

What would be the outcome of this inter-governmental meeting?
More "interim payments" to avoid finalising the 40% revenue entitlement?

Malaysian geography for IDIOTS
1. Bukit Niat in Serian, Sarawak, is the southernmost point of Malaysia.
Not Tanjung Piai in Pontian, Johor.
2. The northernmost point of Malaysia is Guhuan Utara islet in Pulau Banggi, Sabah.
Not Wang Kelian, Perlis.

Aku baru nampak pos ini. Anyway, penjajah mana mau mengaku diri penjajah.

Formal proposal by EC on the 17 new seats. 👏👏👏
Watch the Malayan-backed NGOs trying to influence this process. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nothing can stop Sarawak from getting the new 17 seats.
Sabah Next!
U have Sabah/Sarawak to ur progressive mindset advantage, but u chose instead to sideline & belittle S/S. That's the price u have to pay for being "progressive" in the sea of conservative Malays. Want to take us as part of ur team? Can -fulfill MA63 and don't trash it. That's it.

Semangat apa?
We all know that Merdeka is a Malayan story. Were there representatives from SS in Kl when Tunku proclaimed the declaration of independence?
Merdeka is not our story, it's YOURS. And ought to be celebrated by Malayans.
Semangat kemerdekaan kebangsaan negara.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know

Borneonisation of civil service in borneo states are not okay while Kelantanisation of Putrajaya, KL & JB are okay?
Dato Salleh Keruak totally misunderstood the politics of Malay unity. Firstly, it’s not racist in character; it’s not to consolidate power to the detriment of the non-Malays. It’s also not to undermine the solidarity of the national framework—none of that.
But national solidarity could not be established when the Semenanjung parties are weak. Malay unity is crucial, amongst other things, for MA63 to be negotiated fairly with Sabah and Sarawak
Malay unity is essential so that the Malay states in the Federation have the necessary political strength to determine the trajectory of national issues
Today the Malay states are weak. When Sarawak says it has the right to oil and gas under its domestic ordinance, the PDA 1974 becomes meaningless.
When Sabah and Sarawak proclaim their territorial waters as 200 nautical miles, it renders our Law of the Sea of 2012 meaningless. They also have different ideas about what constitutes the continental shelf
Although Education is still part of the Federal list, Sarawak has autonomy, and you never know where that autonomy will lead us.
Sabah has its own Ministry of Education
You want a special grant of 40 per cent of revenue derived from Sabah
You want one third of all parliamentary seats
You have 29 items you are pursuing under MA63 and countless other claims you claim to be in “the spirit of MA63”
You can say that it was all part of MA63. You can even rely on some passages in the IGC. But that’s what happened in 1963 when we were weak. We could not object to the terms dictated by Whitehall in 1963
Today, as the political configuration stands, the Malay states are still weak
If we were to visit Sabah and Sarawak, we could be denied entry for no reason. Similarly, we could not practice our profession or business in Sabah and Sarawak
Then you want Borneonisation of the civil service. You want the ports and other infrastructure under your control. Sarawak already achieved that
Now you know why we need to be united so that the national interests that are fairly defined can be agreed upon
We want to be a good, reliable partner in the federation, but we can’t achieve that if we are not in a position to negotiate with Sabah and Sarawak from equal strength
Sabah and Sarawak like to say they have red lines in the negotiation. Everyone can draw red lines. Only political power can change the red lines

My Sabah friends, you need to set up something similar to UNIFOR in Sarawak. Not a carbon-copy but an semi-autonomous unit with a direct link to the State Government under the CM's office, and directly under the administrative control of the most senior non-Muslim DCM.
Ad-hoc meetings only work for the short term, but when governments change, these meetings will disappear.
The current system in precarious and is totally dependent on election results! It will not work in the long run.
Be brave and do the right thing, don't worry about the noises from Malaya!

They are so confident if BN &PN cooperate they can keep all their loots, oil & gas can korek bawa lari like usual, hutang tak payah bayar, 40% no need to return etc etc.
Because they are superior than Sabah & Sarawak? And we are dying to be their machai? Good luck 😂

Because I understand the history around/behind it and I have profound respect for Sarawak's fierce autonomy.

While today a Semenanjung person can travel to Borneo just by using IC, you will only be allowed to stay there for 3 months, otherwise you will get arrested or deported, in your own country. No such laws for Borneans vacationing in Semenanjung.
