From this point on, all the way until the credits, Nolan just ascended to a whole other level. One of the most satisfying third acts I’ve ever seen.

The underworld sequences were filmed in Iceland in June, during the eerie all-day light of the midnight sun, in desolate terrain under windy and rainy conditions. Nolan specifically chose Iceland to represent Hades because its cold, remote landscape felt as far as possible from Odysseus's Mediterranean home.

My favorite moment from THE ODYSSEY. I felt goosebumps watching this entire sequence, just absolutely incredible tension. Ludwig’s score, the fire ashes illuminating the dark corridors, the reveal of Agamemnon. One of Nolan’s finest moments as a director.
