We have officially pulled 50 MILLION POUNDS of plastic, trash, and debris from the ocean.
This is a story of two surfers who refused to ignore what they saw.
The ocean didn’t need another awareness campaign, it needed a system. What started as a single decision became a movement. One bracelet funds one pound of trash removed. One pound turned into millions. And we’re just getting started.
To everyone who has shopped, partnered, donated, or supported the 4ocean mission, thank you.
This milestone belongs to you as much as it does to us.

Some rivers need more than a single cleanup.
At Bago River, the 4ocean Java River Team returns multiple times each week because the flow of waste doesn’t simply disappear after the crew leaves.
The work is physical, repetitive, and sometimes difficult, but every return is part of addressing a problem that begins long before waste reaches the water.
Long term change starts upstream, with keeping waste out of waterways in the first place. 💙

What happens when waste doesn’t stay in the river?
At Cangaan River, overflow pushed debris beyond the waterway and into the surrounding landscape, where plastic and other waste became mixed with mud, organic material, and smaller channels.
The cleanup is a reminder that pollution can travel farther than we see, and that what we leave on land can eventually find its way into our waterways. Keeping trash out of drains, streams, and rivers is one of the simplest ways we can help stop that journey. 💙
