Egyptian Christians are not allowed to play for their football team. Muslims are only tolerant in Christian countries.
Post-election El-Sayed, while once again introducing himself by his full Arabic name in a thick Arabic accent, tells a crowd that “Michigan is the capital of Arab America.” You are not ready for the full reality of what is coming. No one is.

The officers in question notified their membership in accordance with the post Patten requirements. This displays healthy transparency. I used to oversee the notifiable interests register and this really is not much of a story.
REVEALED | The number of PSNI officers who are members of ‘notifiable organisations’ such as the loyal orders has been branded “alarming”. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/… belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/…

🇷🇺 Russian gas flows to 🇹🇷 Turkey just jumped almost 4 times. In the first 5 days of November, Gazprom says deliveries to Turkish customers were almost 4 times what they were over the same days in October and September. October was already up 78% on September. Gazprom links it to Europe. It says Europe pulled record volumes of gas out of storage on 28 and 29 October, and again on 1, 2 and 4 November. Winter came early for European storage. Turkey is stocking up on Russian pipeline gas before LNG cargoes get bid away by Europe and Asia. Gazprom is happy to sell every molecule it can. And Turkey wants to be the gas hub between Russia, the Caspian and Europe. Every cold week in Europe makes that hub more useful.
🇹🇷 Turkey wants to power all of 🇨🇾 Cyprus with Turkish gas. The pipe is 101 km long, mostly under the sea and runs from Anamur to Teknecik in the Turkish Cypriot north. The plan, as Turkey’s energy minister Bayraktar puts it: 🔹 Turkish gas fuels a gas power plant in the north 🔹 The north could later sell power to the Greek Cypriot south 🔹 The line can run in reverse, so East Med gas could reach Turkey and then Europe Turkey is the only country that recognises the north, and it doesn’t recognise the government in the south. Cyprus sits in the middle of the East Med gas field and the Greek Cypriot government is the one with EU backing. This is a pipeline built as diplomacy. Whether the south ever buys a single megawatt will decide if it works as an energy project.

🧵Vladimir Putin stripped air defenses from Russia's strategic factories to stack dozens of Pantsir missile systems around his private palace. Friday night, Ukraine exploited the gap, blowing up the plant building the "brain chips" for those exact guns. 1/🧵

Some interesting comparison maps I made. These compare the Russian and Ukrainian MoD maps (Deepstate is pretty much the de facto Ukrainian MoD map now), as well as two independent neutral mappers (Suriyak and I) on the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donbas axes. Each line represents the forward zone of Russian control shown by each map.

Alliance going from 17 to 7 seats would make a big change to the Assembly
Replying to @peterdonaghy
The median scenario from the 1000 runs. A sea of Alliance and DUP losses.

“Rooted out” of society. A Sinn Fein ‘new Ireland’ is a terrifying prospect.
The Orange Order is a deeply sectarian organisation whose history is steeped in bigotry and violence. They should have no art or part in the psni and should be rooted out of civic society

We've gone from British teenagers serving coffee in high street cafes to grown Indian men working those jobs - an almost total replacement in five years. This is not a good development. It must be reversed.

They’re really trying to plan the unplannable in Dublin for the outcome of an unlikely & unpopular scenario in Northern Ireland
Fine Gael has launched its blueprint for a United Ireland. ‘The first-year cost of reunification ranges from about €3 bn to €25 bn, depending on the design chosen, what is agreed with the UK and how much it costs to bring NI pay and welfare to Republic levels.’

🇸🇻🇭🇹El Salvador Update: I attached a map of the situation in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area and the Cul-de-Sac Plain. The map is far from being complete, but I've already added the spheres of influence of the gangs directly or indirectly clashing with the Salvadoran Army and the Gang Suppression Force. - El Salvador's base of operations is near the American embassy in Port-au-Prince, along with the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, which serves as a logistical hub for 2,500 Salvadoran forces. - Patrols started on October 30th in the Clercine area and Tabarre urban commune, located near the airport. By November 2nd El Salvador conducted an armored advance with the Haitian National Police and the GSF into the plain northeast of Port-au-Prince. Key neighborhoods include Santo (where the initial ambush on 4 Salvadoran aircraft technicians took place), Croix-des-Missions, and Carrefour Shada. - Haitian police recovered the charred armored vehicle that carried the 4 technicians in the Santo neighborhood. On November 3rd Salvadoran MD 500 helicopters repelled a gang attack (likely carried out by 400 Mawozo) on a Chadian GSF convoy in Croix-des-Bouquets. - On November 5th a joint Salvadoran/Haitian operation killed Mathias Saintil in a drone strike in the Boston neighborhood of the Cité Soleil. He was the head of the Nan Boston gang which operates on the coast north of Port-au-Prince. Zone of operations key: Yellow = 400 Mawozo Purple = Canaan Gang Orange = Chen Machan Gang Brown = Nan Boston Blue = Viv Ansanm Coalition Red = El Salvador
Full details on El Salvador's military buildup in Haiti: - So far 2,500 personnel deployed, which is more than the entire UN peacekeeping contingent in Haiti. Before this deployment surge there were 124 Salvadoran personnel in Haiti as a part of the UN-approved Gang Suppression Force, largely consisting of medics and aviation technicians. - Forces involved in the mission include special forces specialized in search-and-resuce operations, marines, an infantry company, logistics, and other support personnel. For now the cap is 2,500, but the number can easily double or reach upwards of 6,000, depending on operational needs. - 5 Salvadoran MD500E light attack/recon helicopters and 2 Black Hawks were refueled at Fortaleza El Rodeo, a Dominican military installation near the Haitian border in Jimaní. Last year the US transferred 2 UH-1N Twin Hueys to El Salvador for their peacekeeping force. - El Salvador has deployed dozens of APCs and tactical vehicles, such as the Tygor B7 and Plasan Yagu. Equipment was airlifted on American and Colombian C-130 Hercules aircraft and Boeing 747s, with these aircraft landing at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince. - The Salvadoran HQ is near the American embassy and they're largely active in the Croix-des-Bouquets commune (east of Port-au-Prince), with an emphasis on the Santo neighborhood. The focus is on weakening the gangs controlling the Cul-de-Sac Plain, including 400 Mawozo and Chèn Mechan.

1️⃣ The British Army’s current structure is the most realistic and affordable force design I have seen since the same structure was proposed in 1999. 2️⃣ 1st (UK) Division has two deployable brigades (7th and 16th) plus a third that could easily be made deployable (4th). 3️⃣ 3rd (UK) Division has two fully resourced brigades (12th and 20th) plus a third (11th) that is being re-rolled as a recce strike / drone force. 4️⃣ There is also the Army Special Operations Brigade. 5️⃣ A few more support units are needed (artillery, logistics, and engineers), but overall this is a highly credible construct. 6️⃣The only serious challenge is that 12th and 20th Brigades lack the vehicles they need, with Challenger 3 and Ajax delayed, and no replacement for Warrior yet funded. However, Boxer is ramping up and performing well. 7️⃣People love to beat up the Army for its acquisition failures, and Ajax is indeed a stain on its reputation, but so many other programmes are delivering well (drones, deep fires, DSA, to name but a few.) in other words, the glass is half full, not half empty.

A serious allegation and it would be unacceptable if anyone mocked the victims of an awful atrocity. However, note Gerard Rice misled the public about about what happened at an unlawful gathering during Covid when a police officer was unlawfully suspended. One example 👇
Loyalists involved in a parade banned from walking along the Lower Ormeau Road in south Belfast have been accused of taunting the victims of the Sean Graham bookmakers atrocity. A spokesperson for the Lower Ormeau Concerned Community group claimed a five finger taunt was made by a passenger on a private hire Translink coach that carried loyalist bandsmen past the memorial to five Catholics murdered by the UDA in 1992.
