I see from the latest Miami Vice '85 promo photos that Crockett has his Bren Ten back. Prepare for another wave of irrational collector interest.
Besides the low-bore axis competition pistol I mentioned earlier, CZ has also just received a US patent for a striker-fired service pistol that does not require the trigger to be pulled for disassembly.

Pictures are not currently up on Espacenet for the new patent published today, but you can access the drawings via the original patent application.

This pistol, built for me in 1992-3 by my friend Bruce Gray @brucegrayggi, shows many influences that can be seen in my own 1911 builds and designs. The gun is finished in Black T and sports Ahrends grips, Vic International flat trigger, EGW weld on mag well, and flawless 30lpi hand checkering. I've liked flat triggers on 1911s for quite some time now....

#tbt Jerry Barnhart won the 1990 USPSA Nationals with a pistol mounted optic, changing the game forever. He is shown here with his winning pistol from the 1998 Steel Challenge. The pistol was a Wilson Combat built Colt Lightweight Commander with a bushing barrel, comp, slide lightening, and Bushnell Holosight. The optic was a partnership between Bushnell and EOTech. Bushnell was a known brand and handled distribution, while EOTech was unknown to the retail market and handled the manufacturing.

A very cool set of pics sent by a friend of an early Pachmayr Combat Special. My friend got Paul Liebenberg to do a letter highlighting the various features of this early custom government model. I hope you guys like the pics and as always share your thoughts!

For #fortyfivefriday, we cap of our archives week with this single port comp gun from Austin Behlert. This would have likely been made in the very late 80's or 1990-91 based on the pivoting trigger mod. I shot for Behlert's back in the 80's and into the early 90's, and initially ran a single stack .45 quite similar to this gun.
