Just finished reading #LastOrders by @Lochlomonden An excellent and very poignant read. So very sad that we will hear no more of the lives of the myriad of characters we have come to know and love in the DCI Daley series. 😔
Like a number of others, I am aiming for blue skies - although not planning to jump from this ship completely just yet! Still working on my profile but looking forward to seeing some of you there.🦋
Am I imagining it or is there a live Gvt Consultation linked to family history (sorry can't recall the specifics)?
I’ve just about got my hand back! Physio pleased with progress so far. Now have bending and straightening exercises to do and should be able to wash my hand later next week once wound fully healed! Also have a splint to wear at night for the next few months. xx
Going to be a bit restricted for a while following an op to fix my pinky finger (Dupytren’s Contracture). Hoping it does the trick!

Thinking especially of my Mum today. It would have been her 92nd birthday but sadly she died in May so didn't quite make it. 😢
I was there! A brilliant day and a brilliant result!
On this day... in 2012 🥇

South Africa has unveiled a draft plan to reopen international rhino horn trade which could spell disaster for rhinos.
We're extremely concerned by the proposals and will urge the South African government to rethink.
Help us speak up for rhinos 👇

@Natures_Voice 2 dead gannets found on beach in Irvine this morning, both with fish stuck in their beaks/gullets. Seems odd. Any thoughts?
I’ve just noticed that our Easter Egg 🐣 seems to have a very sad face! 😞 It might be even more 😢 when we start eating it! 🤣

We will be celebrating #BurnsNight this evening (although possibly without the bagpipes!) and recalling coming across this statue of Robert Burns in Dunedin in January 2026 when we were visiting New Zealand. It was certainly a city with a very Scottish feel.
Can anyone help? Would someone leaving the UK (probably from Glasgow) for Australia in 1889 require a passport and if so could it be obtained quickly?
