Who is the monster and who is the man? It’s a trick question. Hulk has always been a hero. No matter how much the world hates him. And Bruce? He so angry. At his past. The world. Himself. But he became the Hulk by throwing himself in front of a bomb for a stranger.

“There’s just something so fun about putting the hurt on HYDRA guys, isn’t there?”

“Life’s problems can often be solved with a good smashing. I mean, not always, but often.”

“I said I think it’s NOT deadly. I got a face full of the stuff and I’m fine.” Amadeus had to crane his neck a little to look at her on the ground. “I mean, I’m a little green but that’s normal.”

“I didn’t ‘let’ you do anything, you jumped on me and started biting before you asked questions!” He looks at the flailing woman inquisitively. It was obvious she wasn’t actually trying to hurt him, it probably wouldn’t feel like poking if she was. “It’s not deadly… I think.”

“I hadn’t noticed.” He chuckled a little before the questions came. “There was a monster attacking Idaho. It sprayed me with something, haven’t had time to try and analyze it yet.” He took a whiff of himself. He did smell funny.

“Hi.” He wipes his pec with a large hand, the same that had pet her. “What’s with the biting?”

“Uh-huh…” He pats her head. “Okay then.”

Her fingers dig but his body doesn’t give way. Perks of being a gamma monster. It does tickle, however, causing Amadeus to have to stifle some laughter. “What are you doing?”

There he stands, pounced on but otherwise unaffected.

“Dude, don’t make me pulverize you, you definitely can’t afford the bills.”

“. . . Sure.” He had to stop an eye roll at her reaction. “Great, hop on.” He offered her his hand, almost like a seat or stepping stone rather than something to be taken given its size.
