Gausman should have rented ... Despite listing the house at nearly $6.9 million, the Gausman could be taking a loss on the property. The family bought the mansion, which was built in 2019, for $7.65 million back in 2022, after the pitcher joined the Jays after signing a five-year, $110-million deal.

This was just posted over on Facebook by @GeorgeTakei . #AdAstra Walter - and Pavel 🖖
My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man. Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date.
Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course.
– George

Oh no. I watched all of the original Star Trek series stuff in the 60's, and quite a few times each. RIP.

But if you're talking decumulation, no. Here's high dividend VYM vs S&P 500 (low low div) IVV on a 4.8% spend rate. Your kids would have 40% more if you knew to ignore the lure of dividends. 👍
That looks like my old neighbourhood #Malvern

I like the ability to do some of this. My wife's CAD RRSP in Green. TSX in dotted blue. Built for the times. 33.3% vs 21.2%. Canadian blue chip (wide moats) plus oil and gas. My RRSP follows a similar approach.

Domi was just destroyed totally out of his league. A rare occasion then he actually had to fight. My friend used to beat him up in Junior Hockey in Ontario.
Dec 2, 1992: Bob Probert and Tie Domi get into one of the most ICONIC fights in NHL history.

For retirement income, there is no difference between a share sale and a dividend of equal value. Dividends DO NOT reduce sequence risk. Of course there are tax considerations in taxable accounts, but tax perfection will never drive the bus.

All retirees need to run the software. It's a must to create an optimized retirement cash flow plan. There is "easy" to learn (and very affordable) software available. At Retirement Club, we'll teach you how to use MayRetire @MayRetire

It's all a moot point. We don't 'get the returns' of the CPP Investment arm. Much of the execution has been pay as you go, so some of your contributions go to others. And you can't opt out. Well you can if you own a small corp, but even then it's usually not advantageous as it's beneficial to pay yourself a certain amount of T4 salary. And yes, it's comparing a pension amount vs potential portfolio returns that contains market risk and investor behaviour and more. But it is interesting. Thanks Aaron for the evaluation.
