Thank you for flagging this yesterday. Most of our team spent the last 24 hours working on this in order to address it properly.
It's worth noting that when we released the game back then, quite a couple of popular sites in the scene had the same standard. Years passed, things changed, but since Towers isn't a very popular game for us, this went below the radar.
Nevertheless, we've always operated with integrity and we're glad this is now resolved.
Following our investigation, @500Casino has corrected the Towers paytable to a 5% house edge and says it is paying back $1.74m to more than 35,800 players.
They say they found the same issue in HiLo and fixed that too.
Public disclosure, automatic refunds and a formula every player can check, within a day of our report.
Their total is lower than our estimate. They have the full bet history, we only had public data. We’ll add their figure to the report as promised.
What we’ve checked so far: the new Towers paytable is correct, and the refunds on our own account match the formula. Next we’ll test live payouts and update the report.
If you played Towers or HiLo on 500, your refund should show in the Compensation column of your game history. If it’s missing or doesn’t match, contact 500 and let us know.

Towers is now fixed.
We noticed a similar issue with HiLo as well, we fixed it too and compensated all affected players +10% on top for both games.

We found the house edge is up to 8x what they advertise, since 2023.
Advertised: 5% house edge
Actual: up to 40.13%
We estimate $3.5m–$21.6m in extra player losses over 3 years.
500 takes the 5% again on every row you climb. Captured game code, our game testing and real payouts from 2024 and 2026 all show the same paytable.
We’re asking 500 to address this publicly and compensate affected players.
