16 years ago today, Kenyan football was plunged into mourning after seven fans lost their lives in a stampede at the gates of Nyayo National Stadium during a Mashemeji Derby.
Their lives were tragically cut short in an incident that remains one of the darkest moments in Kenyan football history.
May their souls continue to rest in eternal peace.
