I think the cynicism in the space is a derivative of ETHBTC performance.
The main error of the Industry in general is undersizing the impact of digital gold and oversizing the adoption of generalisable turing-machines.
I think all execution layers will eventually converge on an architecture that has fast finality and >10k TPS over the next few years which will largely makes them undifferentiated.
Therefore, Infrastructure will only become as valuable as it's activity and chain activity is a derivative of the quality of the applications that are hosted there.
It's all going to be about great quality applications.
