76ers Sixth Man

Today is a major day for the city of Philadelphia. We’re unveiling the first renderings of our proposed new arena, the future home of the @sixers, @NHLFlyers and Philadelphia’s @WNBA team, on the historic site of the former Spectrum grounds in South Philly. Fans will have the opportunity to engage both inside and outside the space, enjoying sporting events, concerts, and community events throughout the year. Building something of this scale takes a village. I’m honored to serve as Chairman of this joint venture and thrilled to collaborate with my longtime partners Josh Harris and David Blitzer, HBSE CEO Tad Brown, and our partners at @comcast and the Flyers, Brian Roberts and Dan Hilferty. Together, with global design firm @Populous and nationally acclaimed architect Moody Nolan, we’re working to create one of the most technologically advanced venues in the country, delivering a world class experience while generating hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue for the city of Philadelphia and its School District. We also want to thank the Philadelphians who have shared their feedback and helped us come together to create something groundbreaking for our city, our players, and our passionate fans. Those insights have helped shape this vision, and that dialogue will continue through surveys, focus groups, community engagement, and public review throughout the design and approval process. We look forward to welcoming you to this arena, a destination where memories are made, championships are celebrated, and the community comes together. Let’s go! thephillyarena.com
