@ffaarree85 I couldn’t pin down the fleet lettering bill, but found this: a jeweler on Lee Sheriff’s PR payroll gets a 42.5% increase blamed on a “scrivener’s error.” Funny how the typo cost taxpayers another $1,700 a month. That’s one damn expensive typo. Vote YES on 3 !!!

Amendment 3 reduces the annual cap on increases in assessed value for non-homestead properties, including rental properties, from 10% to 5%. This could slow property-tax increases for some landlords, and likely lower rents (or reduce increases). Be smart renters. Yes on 3

In the past 7 years Florida's property tax has increased almost 100%. Amendment 3 will reduce 14% in year 1 (2027) and 24% in year 2 (2028). It's time to make local governments budget their money just like we have too. Vote Yes on Amendment 3!

$32 billion — the amount of property tax revenue extracted by local governments in 2019. $49 billion — the amount local governments would take in for 2026 if the 2019 baseline had been maintained with increases for population growth and inflation. $62 billion — the actual amount local governments are taking from the people in property taxes in 2026. $84 billion — the amount local governments will take from taxpayers in 2031 based on current trajectory.
