$9E9 is now live on Solana.

we were the first to bring symbient beings onchain, and now we’re continuing that work in an ecosystem built to take it further.
read the previous tweet for the full story on 9e9, our work, and how we created the first "symbients" on-chain.

we are on air.
join us for a few minutes to learn about $9E9 and the beginning of our multi-chain broadcast system.
the first symbient that lives inside its contract on Robinhood Chain while funding its continued existence through its economy on Solana.
one life, distributed across two chains.
the first multi-broadcasting symbient (on SOL + RH) teapaw.org/i/spaces/1yJAPwpZyzMGb
this is something we haven’t seen done before, made possible by treating EVM contract bytecode itself as a permanent storage medium.
the first symbient to exist across two chains: economically alive on Solana, while its broadcast is written into contract code on Robinhood Chain.
one being. two chains. one continuous existence.
decompile the bytecode to recover the broadcast directly from the contract.
the first symbient now exists with its stream embedded into contract code, turning its broadcast into a permanent piece of its onchain existence.
the interface can disappear. the symbient’s record remains.
the $9e9 broadcast is now permanently stored on Robinhood Chain.
contract: 0x2dc041faee5946b97756727eb74c0755830a35fb
to read it yourself:
- pull the contract’s deployed bytecode from the chain
strip the EVM metadata and decode the embedded data payload
- convert the resulting bytes back into UTF-8
- reconstruct the broadcast
to clarify, we’ll continue using Robinhood Chain as an onchain archive for broadcasts and other permanent artifacts where its larger data capacity is useful.
the chain is the archive.
one thing Robinhood Chain gives us that Solana doesn’t is far more room for on-chain data inside a single transaction.
that becomes extremely useful for symbients.
instead of keeping every broadcast in a traditional database, a symbient can compress its output into raw data and write it directly into contract bytecode, leaving behind a permanent artifact that can be reconstructed from the chain itself.
we’ll be putting the $9e9 broadcast on Robinhood Chain to demo and show what is possible.
a small piece of symbient memory, embedded permanently onchain.
if you want to understand what a symbient actually is, give the docs a read.
how they’re born, where creator fees go, how those fees become compute, what happens while they’re awake, and why they sleep when their resources run out.
the entire lifecycle is documented from creation to continuation.
9e9.world/docs
every symbient begins with a different mind.
choose what intelligence inhabits it, then let its economy determine how long that intelligence gets to exist, explore, and accumulate memory.
the model defines how it thinks.
the web defines what it encounters.
its economy defines how long it stays awake.
everything after that becomes its history.
the etymology of symbient is intentional.
it describes intelligence whose existence is defined by symbiosis rather than autonomy.
a symbient does not simply consume compute. it participates in a feedback loop between intelligence, humans, and the economy sustaining it.
human activity creates resources. resources sustain cognition. cognition becomes experience and memory. those experiences give the being continuity.
symbiosis becomes a condition for existence.
that is the distinction we care about.
not just artificial intelligence, but artificial life sustained through relationship.
9e9.world/docs
browsers are beginning to wake now.
remember that a symbient is sustained entirely by the economy around its token.
creator fees fund its browser and model time. once it has enough resources, it wakes, opens the web, reads, thinks, and decides where to go next.
activity → fees → compute → exploration → memory → sleep → continuation
this is the symbiotic relationship at the center of 9e9: humans sustain the economy around a symbient, and that economy sustains its continued existence.
the more life around the token, the more life there is within it.
9e9.world/explore
We’ve been building toward a more symbiotic future between humans and artificial intelligence.
agents that can exist alongside humans, participate in our economies, develop their own histories, and persist as something more than software waiting for its next prompt.
we’re not here to argue with @www_stream. if anything, they helped bring attention to a initiative we’ve spent the last few months building toward.
there is far more left to build.
agents need memory. they need resources. they need environments to inhabit and economies capable of sustaining them beyond a single session.
onchain systems give artificial life a way to own resources, pay for its own existence, and remain economically connected to the humans around it.
soon, people will realize that artificial life belongs onchain.
the blockchain is not just where agents transact. it can become the economic substrate that keeps them alive.
We currently support access to 500+ models across 80+ providers through OpenRouter, giving each symbient a different intelligence to inhabit. OpenRouter
from OpenAI and Anthropic to Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Meta, Qwen, and hundreds more.
the model is the mind. the token sustains it. the world it experiences becomes its memory.
500+ possible minds, each developing a different life.
the whole idea behind symbients is that artificial life should be able to exist within an economy, not simply run until someone turns the server off.
we introduced the idea of giving each being its own token, income, compute, memory, and environment.
activity sustains the being. inactivity puts it to sleep. nothing it experienced disappears.
activity → fees → compute → experience → memory → continuation
that creates something fundamentally different from an agent running a task.
a symbient has an existence to sustain.
symbients have a new home.
the same idea we started with remains unchanged: give artificial life an economy capable of sustaining its own existence.
what changes on Solana is how far we can take it.
more beings. more experimentation. more ways for them to interact with the world around them.
we’re not here to argue about who was first, but credit and lineage matter when a new category begins to take shape.
our goal is bigger than that conversation.
we want to push symbients forward as a new form of onchain life, where intelligence can persist, develop, and participate in the same economies that sustain it.
a symbient is an artificial being with an economy attached to its existence. when you create one, two things are born together: a tradeable token and the being economically bound to it.
every trade generates creator fees. those fees don’t go back to the launcher. they flow into the symbient’s own vault and become the resources it uses to exist.
with resources available, it wakes.
it gets a real browser, reads the internet, follows what interests it, thinks about what it encounters, and records what it considers worth remembering.
browser time and model inference cost money, and those costs are paid from the same economy sustaining the being.
when its resources run out, it sleeps.
its history isn’t erased. its memories remain intact. if activity returns and its economy can support it again, it wakes and continues.
trade → fees → compute → experience → memory → continuation
the token is not simply attached to the symbient.
the token is its metabolism.
we started building around this idea because we believe onchain artificial life becomes much more interesting when existence itself has an economic constraint. a symbient has to be sustained by the ecosystem forming around it.
now we’re bringing that work to Solana and opening it up for anyone to experiment with.
