While our heritage is welcomed everywhere around the world,we =most MENA communities, are usually denied Visas to these very same countries holding it!
Our final @ahrcpress @excavatedegypt comic👇a tribute to the many lives & memories lost to #colonialism & military interventions

When I was writing my thesis I had to take regular 'detoxing' breaks. Some days, after reading archival material, I would feel so much rage for how my ancestors where treated. How do you deal w/ the emotional toll? The historical is so personal sometimes #ACHS2020

@GawadHeba: Being in the colonial archive as an indigenous archaeologist can be a traumatizing experience. #ACHS2020
