Martin Grimason, 36, admitted downloading indecent images between February 2023 and June last year.
An Airdrie sex offender is back behind bars after being caught again with child abuse material.
Martin Grimason, 36, admitted downloading indecent images between February 2023 and June last year. He was the subject of two bail orders at the time of the offence.
Grimason was jailed for 14 months at Airdrie Sheriff Court and will be under supervision for a period when he is released, reports Lanarkshire Live.
Sheriff Derek Livingston said a prison sentence was necessary because of his record and the risk to the public. Grimason was put on the sex offenders' register for 10 years.
The sheriff also imposed a five-year sexual harm prevention order that will place restrictions on him when he completes his prison term. Last year Grimason was jailed for 12 months at the same court on a similar charge.
He then got another three months after he admitted breaching the requirements of the sex offenders' register on his release from prison. The court heard Grimason should have kept police monitoring him in the community up to date about his online activity.
When officers made an unannounced visit to his home they found Facebook and X accounts he hadn't told them about.

Is it Police Scotland protocol to refuse a man in crisis a phone call so his family know he is safe?
To tell them he is going to Stobhill for assessment, then take him to a police station instead?
To put a CID interview ahead of hospital after he had a seizure in the back of a police van?
To lock him in a cell instead of taking him to a place of safety?
Is it NHS protocol for a custody nurse to take his bloods, record that he is still in crisis, then declare him fit for interview? To delay that assessment until late at night, and tell his next of kin a second opinion can wait until after CID have finished with him?
You held a man already in crisis for 13 and a half hours.
He had a seizure in a police van.
You interviewed him anyway.
Then you charged him with nothing.
So what was the 13 and a half hours for?
A man in crisis was treated as a suspect first.
Care came last.
Then there was no charge.

Many Charities like the one mentioned here have accommodation used for high risk offenders all over the country that goes unnoticed I feel it is absolutely necessary to let the people in these communities know who has freedom of movement among the general public. These guys come and go as they please and any are out all night long doing god knows what. This should be public domain information but it is not and for very good reason.
