Last weekend we were delighted to attend the @IKCCorg Global Kidney Cancer Summit in Prague and represent patients in the UK.
This was a great opportunity for us to meet more than 50 patient advocates, healthcare professionals and #kidneycancer experts from around the world.
Our colleague recently represented #kidneycancer patients & families at the @Cancer52org Big Conversation. The event brought together the main stakeholders with lived experience, to engage with the latest developments in cancer research policy.

📢 What should Europe do to tackle the burden of kidney cancer?
Experts at the European Parliament have highlighted key priorities for kidney cancer policy across Europe:
• Invest in research to address areas where patients’ needs may not align with commercial interests.
Thank you to the Specialist Kidney Cancer Centre at the @NHS Royal Free Hospital team for raising awareness of #kidneycancer today.
People attending the information stall were engaged and keen to talk to the team about early signs and symptoms of kidney cancer to look out for.

We support the new Govt National Cancer Board. Its job is to check that plans to improve cancer diagnosis, treatment & support are being put into practice across England. the ultimate aim is to improve the care and treatment of cancer patients.

A targeted therapy called tivozanib helped some patients with advanced #kidneycancer keep their cancer from getting worse for several months when used after earlier treatments had stopped working.
