These are the questions the presidency raised after Atiku made a declaration to free Nigerians from the present APC-infested suffering:
"Restoring the old arrangement therefore cannot simply be presented as a matter of announcing that government will once again pay part of the cost of petrol. It would require a clear legal, fiscal and administrative framework, including identifying the source of the funds and determining how such a policy would be implemented under the present petroleum-market structure."
"In practical terms, therefore, Nigerians should ask a straightforward question: If the subsidy is restored, who pays for it? What will the new pump price be? N200 or N500? If petrol is sold below its economic cost, which is about N1,200 to N1,300, someone must absorb the difference. Ultimately, that cost falls on the public finances—through reduced funds for infrastructure and social services, reduced allocation to states and 774 local councils, increased borrowing, higher public debt, or some combination of these."
What the presidency is simply saying is that if we can answer these questions successfully, the Nigerian people will be free from the suffering the APC have subjected them to. We are ready to answer the questions that the APC have obviously admitted have eluded them for years. Hence the widespread suffering. Now we know the reasons Nigerians have been suffering; is because APC does not have answers to these questions. Since they have challenged us with the questions, we will prove to Nigerians that we have answers to the problems that have made them suffer for many years. Nigerians have suffered. The ADC has the solutions and it is in the heart and hands of HE Atiku Abubakar. Subsidy will return! Suffering will be gone! Jobs will return! APC will be gone!

PRESS STATEMENT
ADC-PCC TO TINUBU: NIGERIANS DEMAND ANSWERS OVER SPOKESMAN’S ALLEGATION THAT MINISTERS BOUGHT APPOINTMENTS
The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) has challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to respond to an allegation by his campaign spokesperson, Mr Alwan Hassan, that some ministers in his administration allegedly paid to secure their appointments and are now seeking to recoup their investments.
The ADC-PCC said the allegation, reportedly made during a live television programme, raises serious questions about the integrity of ministerial appointments, accountability in government and the circumstances surrounding the selection of members of the Federal Executive Council.
Hassan was reported to have stated that some ministers paid money to secure their positions and were now focused on recovering what they allegedly invested before turning their attention to the business of governance.
The ADC- PCC queried " If substantiated, such an allegation would represent a grave indictment of the process through which public offices are filled and the principles of public service. It is particularly troubling that the allegation is attributed to a figure associated with the President’s political camp".
The ADC-PCC therefore insisted that Nigerians deserve a clear and unequivocal response from the Presidency pointing out that "an allegation of this magnitude cannot simply be ignored or dismissed without a transparent explanation.
"The allegation, if established, would suggest that ministerial appointments were treated as private investments rather than positions of public trust. It would also raise concerns about whether decisions affecting millions of Nigerians are being influenced by the personal financial interests of those entrusted with public responsibility.
"At a time when Nigerians are grappling with rising living costs, insecurity, pressure on household incomes and persistent economic difficulties, the country cannot afford uncertainty over the integrity and priorities of those occupying its highest public offices".
The ADC-PCC argues that the allegation raises fundamental questions about the administration’s much-publicised Renewed Hope Agenda and whether the interests of ordinary Nigerians are receiving the attention they deserve.
"Public office is a responsibility, not a commercial transaction. Ministerial appointments must be guided by competence, integrity and a commitment to national service—not by financial inducements or expectations of private returns", the ADC- PCC stressed.
The ADC-PCC, therefore, demands the following:
1. Immediate response from the President: President Tinubu should address the nation and clarify whether he is aware of the allegation, whether any investigation has been initiated and what steps his administration intends to take.
2. Clarification from Alwan Hassan: The spokesperson should publicly substantiate his reported claims by identifying the ministers allegedly involved, stating the amounts he alleged were paid and those who received the money.
3. Independent investigation: The appropriate law-enforcement and anti-corruption agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), should examine every shred of evidence of financial inducements connected to ministerial appointments. Anyone found culpable should face the full consequences of the law.
1. National Assembly inquiry: The National Assembly should consider a transparent public inquiry into the allegation, including inviting Hassan to clarify his reported remarks and provide any supporting evidence available to him.
The ADC-PCC stresses that these demands are not a substitute for evidence or due process. Rather, they are necessary steps to establish the facts, protect the integrity of public institutions and ensure that any wrongdoing is addressed in accordance with the law.

Holding Tinubu’s posters while chanting “Nigeria Sai Atiku!” 😂
This reminds me of that narration of the “Gombe Sai Mallam” incident involving Pantami. Apparently, these things do happen!
Mun yafe muku! We understand. When a government subjects people to this level of poverty, sometimes survival takes precedence over loyalty. You have to do what you have to do to put food on the table.
Collect your money, hold the poster, and chant whatever you want to chant. We understand that hunger has no political party! 😂

The usual APC response: plenty of insults, but very little substance. If Tinubu’s 30-day petrol discount is different from Atiku’s proposed production subsidy, then explain why Nigerians are still buying petrol at unbearable prices and struggling with the cost of living.
Atiku is talking about policies that can make fuel affordable, support local production and reduce the burden on Nigerians. Instead of addressing the substance of his proposal, you are busy attacking his age, ambition and past election losses.
Winning elections does not automatically mean winning the argument or delivering good governance. Nigerians are more interested in the price of petrol, food, electricity and the security of their lives than in political name-calling.
And about 2031? Nigerians are still waiting for the promised hope of today. You cannot ask citizens to endure hardship indefinitely while promising that tomorrow will be better.
Atiku is offering policy alternatives, not excuses. Let the Nigerian people compare the records, examine the policies and decide who deserves their votes in 2027. ADC is the new direction for Nigerians. #Atiku2027 #ADC #BetterDaysAreComing
At least, Rufai, has seen that Atiku mean so much well for this country. Just see how excited he was this morning shown that by the time Atiku shall be declared as president elect, the whole country shall be thrown into celebration.
Tinubu finally listened to Atiku's advice to reduce fuel price to ease the pains of Nigerians in his remaining 8 months in office. Though, the amount reduced is ridiculous, it is one way to prove that Atiku's proposed PRODUCTION SUBSIDY is achievable and beneficial to the people and the economy. Sai Atiku!

TINUBU’S 30-DAY FUEL DISCOUNT IS A PANIC-DRIVEN PUBLICITY STUNT-ATIKU
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has condemned the Federal Government’s proposed 30-day fuel discount at NNPC stations, describing it as a desperate, temporary gesture that cannot repair the damage caused by the crushing cost of fuel.
In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Atiku said the Tinubu administration’s attempt to dangle a fuel subsidy as bait for Nigerians was reckless, disgraceful and scandalous.
He said the same government had watched Nigerians endure excruciating hardship without offering meaningful relief. Now, as the election draws closer, President Tinubu is dangling a temporary discount at the very epicentre of the cost-of-living crisis that has tormented households and businesses.
“Atiku totally rejects this calendar-scheduled, election-laced subsidy package. Nigerians are not fools to be offered a month of discounted fuel after years of punishing prices and then expected to forget the hardship when the discount expires. This is shameless and heartless,” he said.
Atiku said the proposed 30-day discount was not an economic plan but a political bandage on a wound the government had helped create.
“What happens on Day 31? Nigerians wake up to the same brutal prices, the same punishing transport fares and the same rising cost of food. The government cannot manufacture relief for one month and expect Nigerians to applaud while the hardship remains,” he said.
He noted that the offer is limited to NNPC stations, while the government has yet to state how much motorists will save per litre or guarantee that any savings for transport operators will be passed on to passengers through lower fares.
The former Vice President said the administration’s sudden reversal on this sensitive social welfare issue was itself an admission of guilt over the hardship Nigerians have endured. It also exposed the weakness of the government’s repeated claims that meaningful relief was impossible.
“This volte-face proves that the production-support proposal I have advanced is workable, achievable and not complicated. The Tinubu government and its spin doctors have tried to make it sound impossible, yet they are now reaching for a temporary subsidy-style intervention because the pain has become impossible to ignore,” Atiku said.
He reiterated his proposal for capped and budgeted production support tied to fuel refined in Nigeria, with safeguards to ensure that the benefit reaches consumers and supports local refining.
“Nigerians need lasting relief, not a countdown to the return of hardship. Tinubu’s government cannot spend years telling Nigerians to endure, then offer 30 days of relief and call it a solution,” he said.
Atiku restated his commitment to making life affordable again.
Tinubu made life expensive. I will make life affordable again.

Vote wisely, Nigerians.
H.E. Atiku Abubakar.
Look at the pump. Look at the market. Look at the shop that closed last month.
That is the 2023 experiment talking. ₦1,400 a litre did not stay at the filling station. It followed food. It followed transport. It followed insecurity.
Nigeria does not need another lecture. It needs the cost to fall.
That is the Atiku plan. Fuel down. Food down. Movement cheaper.
Rotimi Amaechi is on that ticket for a reason. Militancy and the waterways are not slogans to him. They are work he has done.
