Congrats to @BirthplaceBBall head coach, Charlie Brock’s squad moving on to the second round of the NCAA tournament! While he will not face Jim Calhoun’s St. Joseph (CT) team, it’s always nice to host a Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee (2005) at The Birthplace.
Today, @SCWGym held the fourth Senior Day of the weekend, recognizing six outstanding “All-Arounders” when it comes to excelling in the classroom, in the community, and in competition; congrats seniors and good luck!
@BirthplaceBBall, @SCWBB and (with no home Outdoor Track meet on the schedule) @Springfield_TF recognized their Seniors today; congrats to this stellar group of seniors, and thanks for wearing THE jersey for four years!
Even on a Saturday loaded w/ home contests, there is always time for Humanics In Action as over 150 young girls participated in a National Girls & Women in Sport Day event, & dozens more joined our partnership with First Tee, introducing young girls and boys to the sport of golf!
After two school records were broken (👏) opening day of @SC_swimanddive League Championship, our swimmers are back at it in the morning session of day two here in Cambridge, while our divers have begun their warm up; good luck through the weekend, swim fast and dive well!
Fitting that @SCPride_Wrestle Senior Day happens to coincide with the first match to be held on the brand new donor funded mat (which looks awesome, thank you donors!). Seniors, thanks for wearing THE jersey for four years and good luck!
Always nice to have Trustee Kurt Aschermann find the time in between Board meetings to speak with @SCPrideBaseball; this time shedding some light on his three battery mates whose names remain on the pitching record board 50 years later!
What a special night in Blake Arena. Student Trustee and @SCWBB standout Alex Goslin is recognized for scoring 1,000 points, and 2,000 point scorers Derek Yvon (‘07) and Hassan Robinson (‘95) join the only other 2,000 plus scorer in @BirthplaceBBall history, Jake Ross! 🏀💪
Great group of @SCAlumniPride at the 2020 NCAA Convention; thank you for your continued interest and engagement with @SpfldCollege and @SC_Pride!
AJ Smith of @SCfootball_ (3rd from left) at the 2020 NCAA Convention continues a strong run of having @SC_Pride student-athletes represented at the annual event! And, @mbcooper13 continues to lead on the national level serving on multiple educational panels! 🔻
To answer the Twitter default prompt question, “Who’s in this photo?” That would be @KingJames under that banner. Fitting.
Great to have the Springfield Conservatory of the Arts band on hand this afternoon 🔊⬆️, along with elementary school students from Brookings, DeBerry, and Walsh, making for an eclectic atmosphere in Blake Arena for @SCWBB!
