That’s an interesting strategy. However, looking at the account, it seems it’s no longer generating any profit - it just keeps on trading.
Taker Rebate strategies appear to be more profitable than maker one.
This user found a new way to trade on Polymarket
He’s not predicting outcomes, farming LP rewards or arbitraging
His whole strategy is collecting maker rebates:
> Focuses on sports and crypto markets
> Picks any outcome at 0.5 odds
> Places limit orders and waits for fills
Every time someone takes his liquidity, the platform pays him
Simple as that and he’s already made $34K

How long do we keep waiting ?
$BTC has made new all time highs.
$SOL went from $8 to over $200.
AND $ETH is still trading at prices we saw back in 2021!! 💀
- Jul 2021: $2,324
- May 2022: $2,324
- Sep 2024: $2,324
- Jun 2025: $2,324
- Oct 2026: $2,324
Five years and we're still seeing the same price.
Vitalik tell us how many more years do we need to wait? 😂
We are believes
October must be bullish

🇨🇳 CHINA IS GOING ALL-IN ON BLOCKCHAIN.
By 2030, China aims to have largely completed its national blockchain network, targeting real-world adoption across finance, global trade, manufacturing, and agriculture.
This is bigger than crypto. It’s about building blockchain into the infrastructure of an entire economy.
A rebate-aware prediction-market system needs more than an order-placement loop.
Market eligibility → Order-book analysis → Edge estimation → Fee & incentive model → Execution → Inventory controls → Realized PnL.
The difficult part isn't placing orders.
It's continuously checking whether the original edge still exists after execution.
Polymarket is misleading its traders. Again.
Some top accounts appear to get 50–65% Taker Rebates, far above what their volume should allow
While checking top @Polymarket traders on @graviahq , I noticed their Taker Rebates were suspiciously high. So I compared them with the weighted volume (wV) these accounts actually generated.
The result: NONE of them reached Obsidian tier (see screenshots). Most only hit Platinum, which is a 32% taker rebate. That's already a solid, well-earned rebate.
Per Polymarket's own rules, Obsidian requires $10M+ in volume over 30 days, and in practice more because of how wV is calculated. So why do certain traders get rebates beyond what their tier allows?
If they have custom fee terms, they likely also have uncapped referral deals, which adds another +15%. That puts total fee rebates at ~65%.
Polymarket previously said it ran an incentive program with select market participants to test fees. It also said the testing was over and all perks were removed.
So why do some traders STILL have an edge?

@Polymarket @PolymarketDevs , care to explain?
Most of you know me from the NFT and community side of Web3.
I've kept a lot of my technical work off this timeline, but one rabbit hole I've been spending time on is prediction-market execution.
Not just predicting outcomes - the machinery underneath: pricing, liquidity, execution, and whether an edge survives after a trade actually fills.
Different playground, same curiosity. 🧠
