I don't even know how to begin talking about Jason Kelce's retirement. He is a legend. He is an icon. He is the face of the Eagles franchise and undoubtably on the Eagles Mt. Rushmore. He is the best center that has ever played the game. He was a 6-time 1st team All-Pro (2017-2019, 2021-2023) and holds the #Eagles franchise record for starting 157 consecutive games, the last game he missed coming on October 26th, 2014. Some guys retire because they can't hang in the league anymore, but that isn't Jason Kelce. He is easily still playing at a top 3 level. 2021 - 7th in Pass Block Win Rate (96%) and 4th in Run Block Win Rate 72% 2022 - 8th in PBWR (96%) and 3rd in RBWR (75%) 2023 - 4th in PBWR (95%) and 1st Run Block Win Rate (75%) Per PFF, Kelce has been graded as a top 5 Center in each of the last 3 seasons (4th, 2nd, and 3rd) Over the last 3 seasons he has allowed 1 sack every 1,007 pass blocking snaps (0.09%) and 1 pressure every 50 snaps (1.9% of snaps) On his career he allowed 1 sack every 440 dropbacks (0.2%) and 1 pressure every 35.8 dropbacks (2.7%) And oh yeah, he was known for his run blocking, not his pass blocking. Jason, it was a pleasure watching you all these years and I'm so glad that I will at least get to continue to listen to you in the future.
