Also, when children write their names on their arms & legs so they can be identified if/when theyโre shelled & torn to pieces by the Israeli military is a most telling and heart-wrenching attempt at being recognised & reunited with their families even in such a brutal death. The horror, fear & pain inflicted on Palestinian children by the Israeli genocide is beyond comprehension & forgiveness.
Meet one of the most intelligent and caring women alive today. Expert on Israel's war on childhood.
Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian is a Palestinian scholar who has spent decades studying what happens when political violence enters the bodies, bedrooms and minds of children.
Here are ten of her most devastating insights.
1. You can destroy a child's childhood without killing the child. Fear, imprisonment, humiliation and the constant possibility of death can rob a child of everything childhood should be.
2. Before you can brutalize a child, you must first make that child seem dangerous. Strip away innocence. Replace it with suspicion. Violence becomes easier to justify.
3. Call it security, and almost any cruelty can become a precaution. Even children can be treated as enemies.
4. Terror enters the mind long before a bomb strikes. The sound of footsteps, a knock on the door, a strange noise at night. Fear colonizes the imagination.
5. Occupation enters the bedroom. It determines whether families can live together, whether parents can protect their children, whether a home can remain a home.
6. Destroying a house destroys more than walls. It destroys the place where a child learned to feel safe.
7. Palestinian women face multiple forms of domination. Political violence from outside, patriarchal control from within. Neither should excuse the other.
8. Even death does not guarantee dignity. Shalhoub-Kevorkian writes about ashlaaโ, the Arabic word for scattered body parts. Parents searching rubble for pieces of their children. A ring identifying a mother. Pajamas identifying a child.
9. How can a child recover from trauma when the trauma never ends? There is no meaningful after while the terror continues.
10. A little girl in Gaza begged her cat not to eat her if she was killed by a bomb. Shalhoub-Kevorkian understood something profound in this plea: even a terrified child was trying to preserve the dignity of her own body.
And when parents gather the scattered remains of their children, they are doing more than preparing a burial.
They are refusing to let violence have the final word about who their children were.
That is perhaps the most extraordinary insight of her work: even when human beings are reduced to fragments, love still struggles to make them whole.

How ARROGANT & STUPID is BBC management to leave this man Raffi Berg in a position of such power over its output while Israel commits egregious war crimes, crimes against humanity and GENOCIDE and he ensures the coverage is disgracefully and shamefully biased in favour of Israel?

Strong pro-Israel bias among BBC bosses.
BBC executives met nine times with pro-Israel Jewish groups and just once with pro-Palestinians in first 14 months of genocide๐

Americans have finally woken up and called out @realDonaldTrump for the incompetent narcissist he is. 32% identifying 'the state of our democracy' as the most pressing concern after the economy (39%). #Trump #Midterms2026 #bbcnews
By promoting the hoarding of unearned assets by the rich @KemiBadenoch will reproduce the inequalities that are choking the economy and restricting the opportunities of those who are not featherbedded by wealthy parents @bbclaurak #BBCLauraK

May those who live, work or holiday on top of this have nightmares about what lies beneath them. May they imagine the cries of the dying and may it keep them awake at night.
Keep it going @timfarron #lakesline. Huge asset. Part of our culture.

Antisemitism is a scourge on society and we are committed to stamping it out.
Weโve accepted all 27 recommendations of the Bell Review, including encouraging schools and colleges to adopt the IHRA Working Definition.
We will continue to promote its adoption internationally.
โIf education isnโt the answer, what is?โ
Antisemitism has no place in our schools and colleges.
Sir David Bellโs report sets out what needs to change, informed by the experiences of Jewish communities and those working in education.

Just how imvolved with the genocidal Zionist regime is @EdwardJDavey, @timfarron?
Completely absurd & disgraceful

Shame you haven't done the same with Zionism @bphillipsonMP
Antisemitism is a cancer in our politics.
We fought hard to root it out of our party.
We will not stand by and watch it infect public life again.

Worth watching: "It is not a genocide; it is a counterattack in a war."
This should be pushed far and wide. Watched in every college class in the U.S. Thank you @billmaher The moral confusion is gross. "It is not a genocide, it is a counterattack in a war...Gaza equals genocide is a lie, an easily provable lie (as I have argued from first hand observations in Gaza). The fact that so many democrats go along with it is to me the party's worse moment since they undid reconstruction after the civil war...words have meaning...genocide, kill or try to kill an entire people, you can't just change the definition of genocide to mean counterattack in a war where people including civilians die, that's every war..."
independent.co.uk/news/uk/poโฆ Of course, this is exactly which you should rule it in @andyburnham. Decent people are sick and tired of 'antisemitism' being being used to mask and justify genocide by fanatical European and American terrorists against Semites @ZackPolanski @timfarron.
