Just a little article I worked on yesterday - my first published Medium article! Been working with ReactJs a lot recently and it got me thinking about a few different topics relating to how to test ReactJs components and applications.

This sounds interesting. Maybe with this current trend where nobody can afford a new GPU, console prices are going to go through the roof too, pricing their audiences out of upgrading - maybe we'll finally see some better optimisation of the hardware we all do have right now?
This DirectX tech massively simplifies the ray tracing data your rig has to check and update frame to frame. That could free up a whole lotta memory, with Microsoft demonstrating a reduction of 7.5 GB to 774 MB on an AMD Radeon RX 9070.

The whole first level of Sonic Adventure was marvellous. Still looks great, still flows beautifully. It's the perfect introduction to what was a fantastic game.
Will always have a huge soft spot for Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast. Was amazing to witness this when it was brand new.
If this is true and this is in fact what is happening (as in it's not the player doing it during this sequence), didn't The Getaway do this exact same thing on the PS2 around 20 years ago?
Some shots from @PlanetZooGame
I really love the visual quality in this game, especially during the changing seasons. Some of these shots are from summer, some from autumn.
Also not all scenery here is mine, a lot of this came pre-built with the current map I am working from.
I mention it a lot but Cobra for the C64 is right up there as one of the very worst.
I loved the Spectrums version of Cobra. It was a technical marvel for the system with fun gameplay. So it came as a huge disappointment to me that the C64 version was horrendous. Truly abysmal.
It really has to be Concord doesn't it?
All the money Sony pumped into buying the studio, all the money that went into developing the game over several years, all the hype they desperately tried to generate around it and...
It was dead and buried within 2 weeks of release.
These people (as in Jason and all of his ilk in the gaming journalism space) never represented the actual gaming audience.
None of them are gamers and they haven't a shred of integrity between them.

In 2005, Destroy All Humans! would arrive courtesy of Pandemic Studios. Mixing alien tech, human destruction and explosive action, was it fun?

Capcom are seriously on a roll. Beggars belief that more AAA studios aren't looking to them as the gold standard to follow.
RE Requiem is said to have cost around €70 million or so to develop and didn't take a whole gen to get it out there. 8.5 million in sales. Unreal.
Capcom is having a strong 2026.
The company shared its latest sales numbers, with both new games and older hits selling extremely well.
- Resident Evil Requiem: 8.51 million copies
- Pragmata: 2.73 million
- Onimusha: Way of the Sword: 1.78 million
- Resident Evil 4: another 1.1 million this quarter
- Resident Evil 2: 640,000 more
- Devil May Cry 5: 540,000 more
- Resident Evil 7: 460,000 more
Capcom’s franchises are growing:
>Resident Evil has passed 218 million lifetime sales
>Monster Hunter 132 million
>Street Fighter 60 million.
Monster Hunter Wilds outsold by 2018’s Monster Hunter: World this quarter.
50 hours now put into @PlanetZooGame. First Franchise zoo is at a decent size now.
Some observations: the Accreditation system is tough. Really adds to the challenge to unlock more glamorous animals.
Money isn't super hard to earn. Conservation Credits are much more difficult.
I'm going to continue having a great time with this game. Frontier games traditionally blossom even further over time - well the foundation in here is already pretty excellent.
The future of this game is an exciting one.
I'm having a great time with the game as it stands.
I absolutely loved NFS Shift. Brilliant racer. Earning the PS3 Platinum for it took a hell of an amount of hard work too.
This game is currently €10.49 on Steam. Honestly it's a steal for that price. This remaster of the two Layers of Fear games is a seriously great title. In my opinion the best way to experience these games.
Looks gorgeous, great atmosphere and lots of content to play through.

I look at how damn talented other Planet Zoo 2 players are and wonder at how the hell they are so bloody creative - I say that with admiration 🤣
Then there's me with my plain as hell, bog standard, square buildings and mundane habitats.
I clearly just don't have that skill!
We all want that version of Sony back. Well maybe I'm speaking too hastily as to the broader audience but I certainly want to see that version of Sony back.
PlayStation was better during these times.
To see RE on the Tower of Power is incredible. Even seeing this much of it is incredible, I can only imagine how difficult it is to do all of this on your own.
Other threads in here explain how they are doing it. Some folks talent really blows me away.
