A vicious, deliberate Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia began last evening. Nine-story residential buildings, a university facility, a shopping mall, and a boiler house were damaged. As of now, five people have been reported injured, and some residents were evacuated. In Lozova, Kharkiv region, a woman was killed in a drone strike. My condolences to her family and loved ones. Three other people were injured. Overall, the Russians struck 10 of our regions in the evening and throughout the night.
Russia is not backing down from its escalation and is sending many signals that it is ready to expand the war. All of this is happening as the stability of the world has already been shattered by this war. We must continue pressuring the aggressor to bring this war to an end. Every response and every long-range sanction is part of the pressure that is actually working, and the world can feel it. But diplomacy must work in parallel. At the UN General Assembly, we will discuss how we can achieve peace through joint efforts. This is the main task that all leaders should be working on. I thank everyone who is helping.

The idea that Russia or any other country is going to attempt to invade and occupy Britain is laughable. We are a nuclear power, Five Eyes member, NATO member, and one of the closest allies of the United States.
The Russians can’t even annex a handful of Ukrainian oblasts without sustaining millions of casualties, let alone take on a NATO nuclear power - a fact Putin himself has recognised publicly.
What Rees-Mogg is really saying is we must die for the Donbas region.
It is offensive folly to ask Britons to die for a region that has zero relevance to us whilst our own country is being handed over to foreigners against our will. If the British establishment tries to conscript us for a war with Russia, they are in for a nasty surprise.

The Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow this morning was apparently the largest of the entire war so far -- clearly they have been stockpiling for a while. It also included missiles, though they were all shot down as far as I can tell. Most of the 500+ drones were intercepted (1600+ total, a third aimed at Moscow), but several impacted residential buildings and the Moscow Oil Refinery. At least two civilians were killed in Moscow oblast.

Our long-range responses had a very significant impact in the Moscow region last night. One of Russia’s key oil industry facilities and the aggressor’s logistics facility were hit. These are billions of dollars that sustain the war machine. The systems used included FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palianytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen, and Pelican.
I thank our warriors for their accuracy: the Security Service of Ukraine together with the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Foreign Intelligence Service. Sanctions were also imposed on a facility in the Voronezh region. Moscow must end its brutal war and choose peace instead of building layered rings of air defense at the expense of other regions. Steps toward de-escalation are on the table – in energy and food security. What is needed is political will. I thank everyone who is strengthening Ukraine’s long-range capabilities. I am grateful to everyone who complements our long-range responses with responses through sanctions. Glory to Ukraine!
