Devastated to wake up to the news of the shooting in my hometown of Tallahassee last night and am praying for all of the families impacted by this tragedy. We are thankful for all of our heroic first responders who ran towards the scene to help the victims and others seeking safety. I know our community will stand strong together to provide any comfort and support we can to all those hurt by such violence and fear that no one should ever have to experience. Tallahassee Police Department is still looking for information. If you have information, please share it with them.

Sunday night, I had the privilege of attending the Here Am I: Songs for the Work Ahead nonpartisan Get Out the Vote event at Greater Bethel AME Church, hosted by the LEAD Coalition of Bay County and the Bay County Branch of the NAACP. I left feeling incredibly moved by the passion, energy, and commitment of everyone in that room. There was beautiful music, incredible people, and a demonstration of just how powerful we are when we come together. And a reminder to VOTE on or before November 3! 💙

Proud to join Gwen Graham and our Leon County Environmental Caucus yesterday to stand firm against data center development in North Florida. We deserve answers about what these projects mean for our water supply, energy bills, and natural resources. Protecting what makes North Florida special means making sure we have a voice in decisions that affect our future.
