1/ 🚨SCAB ALERT: JD Vance just crossed the picket line in America’s longest-running strike.
Our strikers have bravely held their picket lines against the Post-Gazette for over two years as management has relentlessly violated federal labor law.

This Memorandum of Understanding signals the permanent end of our strike, @mcgillu's dropping of its legal cases to undo our certification & its ceasing to object to the certification of @AMPE_AMPE & AMPFA. The 3 unions created a confederation of all McGill faculty unions.

Hundreds of AASUA and @UnionNASA members showed up today because we're not backing down. Increasing workloads, precarious employment, and stagnant salaries all pose a risk to #ualberta's high-quality education.
Thanks to all fellow unions who came out in support! #solidarity

Education profs knew what was at stake when we supported @AMPL_AMPD on the picket line the first time they went on strike back in February. We are stronger together.

Also, each faculty union is still is own separate bargaining unit. They just sit at the same bargaining table for issues that might apply across the university. But the CAs are separate and must be ratified separately by each union.
