I love 16:8 intermittent fasting as it has allowed me more flexibility in my 8 hour feeding window. This recent publication in @CellCellPress demonstrates it's utility in improving metabolic health even if you are not eating a low carb diet. cell.com/cell-reports-medici…

I've seen light change more times than I can count... brilliant sunsets, a solar eclipse, and even the Northern Lights dancing over surf in Iceland. Nothing rivals the sight of an active volcano glowing as the sun fades. Shot on Assignment for: @NatGeo

Reduce the carbs and practice intermittent fasting - this reduce the insulin, reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes among other diseases associated with insulin resistance. @drjasonfung
"With the cost of just one weight-related complication, diabetes, almost $1 billion a day, we must consider different ways of solving the intractable problem of obesity and open our minds to a radical-sounding notion: Overeating is a symptom, not a cause." washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

I think most people's goal is fat loss, not weight loss (which involves losing lean muscle as well). Love these tips from trainer Jay Ferruggia. Highly recommend listening to his podcast and a follow on Instagram.

None of us is guaranteed good health. If you look around you, you see this to be very true. If you want good health, you have to create it yourself. You have the tools, you have a body that is capable of healing and you have the brain to think and execute. You are NOT a victim.

Us #healthcareworkers need to take care of ourselves too. Never too late to start your #fitness journey!
A BIG reason to continue squatting & deadlifting for the rest of your life (that most don't talk about)… I want to be able to walk up & down stairs, pick something off the ground & get off the toilet BY MYSELF for as long as I'm alive.

In my opinion this is the most efficient #cardiovascular #fitness piece of equipment for folks over 30. Zero Joint Impact. You don't need to plug it in and anyone can do it. Unlimited fitness challenges (HIIT, LISS). All of us can find 10 minutes a day for our health.
10 Minutes Straight on the #AssaultBike. 😈 Who's partaking?! Try to set a new calories burned PR! 🔥💪 - #repost

We've been taught in #healthcare that a lower resting heart rate is healthier. I don't know the accuracy of the #AppleWatch for tracking this biomarker, but I do credit 10-15 minutes of weekly then daily @AssaultAirBike for this miraculous transformation in a matter of months.
