#WATCH | Mahabubnagar, Telangana: Congress leader Chaluvagali Raghavendra Raju undertook a padayatra from Mahabubnagar to Hyderabad demanding action against alleged double votes of public representatives. He says, "On May 26, 2026, I lodged a complaint with the Election Commission of India. It has now been approximately 144 days, yet no action has been taken. Consequently, I have decided to stage a protest by undertaking a 'padyatra', starting from the Mahunur District Collector’s office and continuing all the way to Burugula Ramakrishna Bhavan in Hyderabad, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Telangana, to submit a formal representation. The complaint concerns a prominent individual in the Mahunur constituency and his wife, both of whom are accused of having dual voter registrations. Following my complaint, the ECI issued two letters to the State Election Commissioner, directing action on the matter. Furthermore, the State Election Commission has sent four reminders to the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana, while the Chief Electoral Officer has issued seven reminders to the District Collector, Khushboo Gupta. In turn, District Election Officer Khushboo Gupta has sent three reminders to the ERO, who is also the RDO, E. Naveen Kumar, regarding this issue. Despite these three reminders, the RDO is deliberately delaying a decision.
