What a year it has been.
One year of simple, honest storytelling.
Celebrating people, heritage, enterprise, and the quiet strength of our city and region.
No noise, just substance.

One year. Quietly. With gratitude.
Our stories have been about real lives, real places, and real perseverance — because we believe journalism should be honest, respectful, and rooted in pride for our own people.
The best is still to come. We need your continued support, guidance, and feedback.

Interesting letters in the October edition of “A New Chapter” magazine from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad).
Former Indian cricket captain and Telangana Minister for Public Enterprises and Minorities Welfare, Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin, called the September interview with him by Mr. Syed Khaled Shahbaaz “outstanding.”
We only knew about Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin’s wristy strokes that charmed every cricket lover, but few of us knew about his beautiful handwriting. In this day and age of AI and digital everything, it was especially gratifying to receive a handwritten note from him — a personal, thoughtful touch that feels so precious.
Mr. Mohammed Wajihuddin of The Times of India shared a beautiful, personal note about his long-time admiration for “Azhar Bhai.”
We also received warm praise by Dr. Shaista Talat for Dr. Nawal Thorat’s lovely articles on nostalgia, cricket legends, and the young sensation Mr. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
Your letters and feedback mean a great deal to all of us.
Please keep writing in.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar stands at the threshold of a new growth era. With an investment pipeline of approximately ₹1 lakh crore, the opportunity ahead goes beyond industries—it is about creating jobs, empowering local businesses, nurturing talent and building a city where our youth can realise their ambitions.
In my article published in Lokmat Times, I share my thoughts on how we can turn this industrial momentum into lasting prosperity and build a stronger future for our city.
The real measure of growth is not just what comes to a city, but what it creates for its people.

FROM THE PUBLISHER: In our exclusive this month, Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin speaks of his present role as a Cabinet minister in the Telangana government, but this is not merely an interview with a politician. It is a conversation with a man who has understood that a second innings can sometimes be as meaningful as the first. Perhaps his most powerful message is a simple one: forgive, forget, and deliver. @azharflicks @khaledshahbaaz #ANewChapterMag

🙏 I am deeply honoured to be elected President of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) for 2026–27.
This responsibility is particularly special to me as I follow in the footsteps of Dady Vijay Darda @vijayjdarda , who had the privilege of serving as President of INS in 1997–98. 📰 Carrying forward that legacy is both a proud moment and a profound responsibility.
Having served as Vice-President and Deputy President of INS, I have had the opportunity to closely understand the organisation, its legacy and the important role it plays in strengthening India’s newspaper industry. I sincerely thank all INS members for the trust and confidence they have placed in me. 🤝
My journey at @lokmat across editorial strategy, operations, circulation and marketing has reinforced my belief in innovation, adaptability and the enduring power of credible journalism. 💡
As our industry navigates changing reader habits, digital transformation, rising costs and evolving audience measurement, I look forward to working with all stakeholders to strengthen the relevance, credibility and future of newspapers.
✨ I accept this responsibility with humility, fresh energy and a forward-looking approach, and look forward to contributing to the continued growth and progress of INS and the Indian newspaper industry.
Grateful for this honour and excited to begin this new chapter. 🙏
