#AndyBurnham Andy Burnham turning out be one pathetic Prime Minister. Everything coming crashing down on him. The job is too big for the King of the North FFS. Out of his depth. We all thought Keir Starmer was bad. Andy Burnham is worse than him. No balls, no backbone.

Bad form from Weatherspoons banning poppy wearers whatever their excuse. It's all very well writing an apology but it won't be forgotten.

Grandfather killed at 33yrs of age, 2nd Battle of Gaza, Dad served WW2 , I, 23 yrs in the RN. Son 4 yrs in Royal Signals. I love Remembrance Day, however the sight of Blair, Brown, Major, and now Burnham, with not a day’s service. And still hounding NI vets.Makes a hard watch.

VETERANS wearing a Poppy are BANNED from from Wetherspoons
WOW. Manager of Gosport Wetherspoons states it’s ‘Company policy’ to not allow anyone in with a Remembrance Poppy on as it ‘could be political’
I can’t believe what I just heard from our nations biggest pub chain.
Veterans wearing a poppy are banned from Wetherspoons.

It’s blanket… It’s blanket. You wouldn’t have the freedoms that you have to ban the poppy from a British pub if our British war heroes didn’t give the ultimate sacrifice for the poppy to exist in the first place. It’s a sign of upmost respect to our fallen heroes you absolute poorest excuse of a man! 👊🏼🇬🇧🏴

Wars will continue so long as old men have the power to send young men to die for the old men's beliefs

You’ve waffled loads and said fuck all, yes or no ? If company policy is to all wearing poppies through your door then call out the manager. These left wing pricks companies employ, so they can pat themselves on the back will eventually destroy your company

🚨📰 Wetherspoon has finally spoken out about the anger surrounding the poppy ban after a veteran was turned away.
A spokesperson for Wetherspoon clarified the chain's established policy and explained the context of the day's policing operations:
‘Wetherspoon has been a long-standing supporter of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, with poppies for sale in our pubs, including The Star. There is no ban on poppies in Wetherspoon pubs. However, there were some standard security measures in place today, as a result of demonstrations in the town. Unfortunately, some members of the public, including some wearing poppies, did not gain entry to the pub. The pub closed to all customers, on advice of the police, at 1700 and remains closed today. We apologise to any regular customers who have been inconvenienced by today’s events and look forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow."

What are we fighting for Pete? you've sat on telly and complained about the country for a long time now you want the young to go and die in a war.
Leaving our women and children at home with what would be those "British" foreigners to rape and kill freely to be sure we return to an Islamic caliphate.
With respect Pete, get fucked.

The war isn’t overseas. The war is right here. On our own soil. In our own villages and towns. In our capital and our institutions. And lots of decent patriotic Britons are not only ready for that fight, they’re eager for it.
What they’re not willing to do however, is to be shipped off the the Ukraine or the Middle East to enter a meat grinder for a phoney war conjured up by globalists and communists who hate us and want us dead so we can be more easily replaced.
It’s not our willingness to fight that’s the issue. Its the where, for what cause, and for whom that is under question.

The same generation who surrendered the country to wave after wave of third-world invaders, rape gangs and almost complete demographic replacement in fear of being called "racist" now wants to lecture us about cowardice?

And I am utterly DISGUSTED that you want our men to go and fight other people's wars
Especially when most of the ones demanding it won't be the ones going.

Your rude outbursts toward Alex was shameful.
Why should our young people be cannon fodder for this government while invaders keep coming into our own country. Who’s going to protect us when our soldiers are away

Something struck me about this debate.
The three people on the panel arguing in favour of war. Three people who, because of their age, are unlikely to be the ones sent to fight it.
Instead, it would be Britain's younger generation expected to put their lives on the line.
It's very easy to take a pro war stance when you're sitting comfortably in a television studio, knowing you won't be the one sitting in a trench or being hunted by drones.
The people making the loudest arguments for war are not the people who would pay the ultimate price.
It's one thing to advocate for war. It's another thing entirely to be the generation expected to die in it.
As a fellow 35 year old man, I completely agree with @Alexarmstrong.
I am not going to die in a trench in the Donbas fighting Russia on behalf of Ukraine.
I couldn't give a toss about either country. Neither is worth sacrificing our lives for.
Britain has enough problems of its own.
Our communities need rebuilding. Our economy needs revitalising. Our public services need fixing.
Yet we seem endlessly fixated on conflicts thousands of miles away whilst our own country is falling apart.
I have absolutely no desire to fight Russia, nor do I believe British young men should be expected to sacrifice their lives for Ukraine.
Britain needs rebuilding, not another generation of young men buried in foreign fields.
Our priority should be fixing problems in Britain.
